We're arriving on Saturday around 3:30PM, renting a car, and have to get to the Stratosphere . We'd like to stop at a Walgreens or convenient store along the way. Any tips for the least traffic?

some good options will come up, I am sure.

But - other than Las Vegas Blvd, traffic should not be an issue.

    And, here is your friend.

One fairly easy off-Strip option: The Walgreens at 1180 E. Flamingo. From the rental center take Paradise North to Flamingo and turn right/East. There is a Walgreens across the street from UNLV's campus on the left/North side just prior to Maryland Parkway - FYI UNLV has a great book store if you are interested in a sweatshirt. After you are done at Walgreens turn left/East on Flamingo and the next major street is Maryland Parkway, turn left/North. That will take you to Sahara and you turn left/West on Sahara, you will see The STRAT .

Go to the 0 level and go to the right to the bus stop and take the 108, 2 bucks and it will leave you off across the street from the Strat in front of the Denny's.

Good plan, except I don't think you can drive rental cars onto the 108.

I-15N to Sahara, then stop at the Bonanza gift shop for whatever you need, then down LV Blvd.

    airport to strat

Rental car companies are on Warm Springs. If you head west you will run into Las Vegas Blvd and you can drive it all the way up. If you want to, you can drive thru the airport on paradise and you will basically run into the Hard Rock Casino and across the street you can stop. If you stay on paradise it will take you all the way to the strat, with very little traffic

Thanks for this tip, I was pretty sure this was the best or the route with least traffic. I will be making the same trip in a couple weeks and wanted to stop at the hard rock on the way across town.
