    My Trip Report

    Day 1:

So my hubby and I took an offer from Mirage from April 22 to 26th. We flew out from Minot with Allegiant Air. We had a rough time finding the airport after the 4 hour drive but finally made it. Let me tell you although the flight was cheap compared to West-jet for us Canucks the parking was the worst. We pull into the paid parking lot running late and the dispenser is jammed so I move to the overflow which is complete mud and big holes. After the parking attendant spends 15 minutes counting the cost on her fingers and I drop hubby off to get the luggage to the airport terminal instead of dragging it through the mud I am in and parked.

Our flight to Vegas was on time and very smooth but completely full. Sat with a great guy from Manitoba who was a first timer to Vegas for a bachelor party and was meeting up with his buddies who were there for a dart tournament. Had a great chat and passed the time.

I have to say it is painful having to get to baggage but we were rewarded with our Limo driver waiting for us and he took care of us until we got the hotel. I have to say the staff were fabulous with us. The bell dude assisted us to VIP, we got our suite immediately and when we got to the room our great bell dude was waiting for us. He gave us a tour of the suite and answered any of our questions. We tipped him well, changed to our glam clothes a few sequins and studded jeans for me and a nice shirt, jeans and shoes for hubby. Off to eat.

First thing we did was go down to MLife desk to get my $250 free play. It was 9:30 pm by then and we were starved so I asked if the buffet at Cravings was still open and they phoned over and let the know we were coming. Great service again and the buffet was decent. Love prime rib so we tied into that and then off to gamble our brains out.

Hubby went and did his thing. We both play slots so he was getting his groove on trying different games. I sat down on the 4 screen buffalo penny machine next to a Irish dude and we chatted and he showed me how to switch the games. He was losing but having fun. I put a $20 in then another and bang feature after feature. Within 30 Minutes I was up $1000.00 woohoo. Hubby comes back to check on me and says the what the fu__ are you playing, holly crap wtg. Then the Irish dude starts to win I was happy for him. I rounded my money down to even $1000 wished him the best and off we went to check out the strip.:evillaugh

    More to come......

We then head over to Harrah's play a bit more wander the strip with our yardstick drinks we got off of groupon and enjoy the sites and sounds. We play a bit more at PH then back to Mirage for more fun and games and Ceasars my favorite Canuck drink.

At this point its early morning ours I am still up big time so off to our suite and into the jet tub for some me time.

Hubby settles into bed and plays with the TV at the end of the bed which he very much enjoyed nice setup automatically comes up at end of bed. For the TV electronic nut it made his day.

    Day 2:
We are up at 6am and decide to hit the gaming floor early. Those baileys and coffee go down so nice a bit of heaven in the morning when your vegging out and getting your gambling fix. We later hit the cravings buffet where I get to know Irene, fabulous lady who makes us feel very welcome and seats us immediately. I tie into the eggs benedict I am totally addicted to eggs benedict when someone else makes it, hubby samples the buffet and then we are off to more gambling and yard stick drinks. Did I say I had 4 coupons for 2 drinks per coupon lol. We head to PH and get our drinks and sit down to play. By this point hubby is not playing I say what's up he says I am taking a break I can't win a dam thing. So he sits down beside me on a China Shore and I get my fix. I just love the China Shore Extra rewards. I put a hundy in the machine start betting max. Bang 192 free spins very cool. We sit back and watch and suck those big drinks back. It gives me another, 8, 16, 16 and 24 more free spins. Finally when all said and done I cash out $800 dollars. Up $700 and still up about $600 from night before. This is turning into a great trip for me.

We then decide to go check out the Flamingo and then to Harrahs to find those pesky Monkey's machine my hubby enjoyed so much last time. I break even on them he loses again. Not good. We then go and check out the Quad, played a bit there. Nothing much to speak of broke even.

From there we go back and two more yard stick drinks from PH then wander the strip. I decide its time to check out the Venetian closer and get our Grazie cards that I signed up for online. Nice big hotel. Most horrible gambling. After losing about $300 we get the heck out of there. Back to the Mirage for more gambling etc. Stay tuned for Day 3.:ssst:

    Day 3:

We were darn stiff and sore from all the walking but that didn't deter us when your in Vegas you make the most of the time. We got up early again and took advantage of the Bellagio buffet. We were in line by 8am. I have always liked the Bellagio I am a fan of the Ocean's 11 movies and love the fountains so we always check it out each time we go to Vegas and since I love to flower garden I have to take pictures and see what's new. As we make our way to the buffet we pass Serena Williams in serious gambling mode at the roulette table. It was the only Roulette table with people playing. She was with a group of guys and playing some big money. We stood back and watch a bit. We aren't the type of people to bother someone just because they are famous then we quitely move on to the buffet.
After we finally get though and get seated we check out the buffet and really weren't impressed at all Some of the food was cold. The service was lacking they seemed to be short staff and the selection just wasn't there. A bit disappointing but we ate and moved on.
Woohoo time again for yard stick drinks at PH. So we head back over there wander through the wall and there is a line up outside the sport memorbilia store. We glance inside and can see Magic Johnson signing autographs. There was a big line up to see him. Hubby wasn't interested in lining up to see him. I was rather surprised because I know he likes Basketball and usually wants to get autographs. Last time we had to go and get Pete Rose autographed baseball and pics done so I assumed this would be the same he fooled me.

We then went and took advantage of the Cosmo hundred offer. I lost my hundred they gave me a hundred free play even though I already had a card and I broke even. Hubby won $325 on his $100 and he after he used it up they told him he had to lose what he won plus $100 and they would give him $100 free play. He took his winning and off we went to Aria.

We then spend the rest of the day gambling our way down the strip and made a stop at the ARIA buffet and the Jean Phillipe pastry place. Buffet was very good well organized. The pastry place was heaven. I had this this little chocolate number with green oreo cookies on it. When I cut into it the fork went through it like it was butter. Could of used a couple of these for the trip home oh well.....

The gambling was quite fun at Aria. I made $500 there hubby quite playing again. We sat and drank apple martini's and my new drink Adios. (Hope I spelt that right)

We we had a good time then moved on to check out Monte Carlo, New York and MGM. Hubby wanted to try the Lion's Share game. We lost all the way down the strip. I couldn't win a thing at any of these places so we kept moving on. MGM wasn't kind to me either but hubby got another $300 out of the Lion which was at $2.3M. So he was happy. We then made our way back up the strip. I stopped at Harrah's again and of course bought a purse and we finished our day back at Mirage. We decided to head up to our room refresh change our clothes and then get back at the gambling thing. We just get into the elevator heading to our suite on E. The doors just about close and some guy sticks his arm in the door and comes in with his wife. He has a baseball hat on and they are trying to figure out how to use their card to get to their room on C. Finally they figure it out and we cheer them on. He starts talking away to us asking us if were cleaning out the casino where were from. My hubby gets this big smile on his face chats away with these people and give me a look while I am having a great time laughing with them about Saskatchewan and his Saskatchewan Eh comment. I continue to look at my hubby and closely at this dude while being friendly and realize this is Terry Bradshaw and his wife. What a great fun people. OMG so friendly very impressed. Last time I seen him was on the movie Failure to Launch when he was struttling his stuff around his fish tank. Anyhow we had a great chat. They said good bye nice meeting you and got off on their floor. We were totally thrilled made our day. I verified it was him when we got to our room on my IPAD sure enough it was. Great experience.

We then had a nap got refreshed (drank way to much that day) and went to Sambas for supper where we had an 8 oz Brazilian Lobster and Steak. This we paid for with our Mirage food comp. We gambled some more and off to bed.

    Stay tuned for last day....:peace:

    Day 4:

We get up early hit the Cravings buffet and off to gamble our faces off before we fly out. We both lost a bit but all in all we had a good time. Played a variety of machines and got our fix. We packed up said goodbye to our nice suite. Checked out at the VIP and Willie the limo driver was there on time to take us to the airport. Now Willie is a all around fabulous person. He is a pastor on the side and does alot of volunteer work. He was in the Mirage magazine and is a heck of a great guy. We talked the entire ride to the airport. We discussed his volunteer work, his work at the Mirage. He really is dedicated to his job. We talked about some of the shopping he does for guests. Willie is you read this. Keep up the great work. You are definitely a role model. Mirage is lucky to have you and we really hope we see you again.
Once again fantastic service. We had no complaints the staff at the Mirage made us feel welcome. Thanks for the great trip.

We finally caught our flight home. Which had some drama. A flight attendant took sick on the plane and they had to move all the passengers in the front row on one side to the back so she could lay down. We got home quite fast and the paramedics were called onto the plane so we couldn't get off right away when we landed.
I over heard the staff say they had to call in another crew for the flight back to Vegas an the crew had to come from Vegas to Minot. I felt sorry for the people waiting to go to Vegas. They said they would have to wait 6 hours for the crew to get there to take them to Vegas.

Our drive home was uneventful. All in all a good time and a great early wedding anniversary. We both went back to work 2 days later. I had to go on call immediately so the trip quickly became a thing of the past as I had to focus on work and get back in the groove. We definitely have some good memories from this trip. The people we met are the memories that stand out the most for us. They really made the trip special!!!!:nworthy:

I hope you enjoyed my quick trip report. I apologize for not posting pictures.
