I want to get tickets to the Billboard Music Awards on the 19th, but since this is a last minute expense not budgeted for (and will come out of the bankroll) We are thinking the $75 seats in the 3rd section. What is the view like from up there? Is it really as huge of an arena as it looks?

Any advice would be appreciated. I'm going to purchase tomorrow....I figure it's a once in a lifetime thing, we will never be attending another awards show like that!

Ok, nevermind, I just bought them...I couldn't wait anymore. Section 205, row F.....what do you think?

The MGM Grand Arena only seats about 15,000 for a concert, so the nosebleed seats are not near as bad as many larger arenas. Don't expect to have an awesome view from the cheap seats but they are comparable to mid-level seats in a venue that seats 22-23,000

a few things to rember about awards shows having been to many.yes its a big arena and yes you are far away but usually and i havent been to the billboard awards but have gone to the gramies and others for over 25 years the stage is usualy moved up and alot bigger . they usualy have the stage about 20 percent more foward than a regular concert.
so my guess would be the stage would end at like section 14 which is alot furthur out than the stones .

one thing also to rember that side views are usually obstructed due to cameras and that bands play at each side of the stage .

ps after a while becuase there so boring and long good seats open up and you can usually just sit in them if you do it the right way.

I called the box office and she said that this was staged to have 10,000 so the 200 sections won't be as bad as they seem. It will be an experience either way, I'm totally stoked!

correct about the numbers as they dont sell behind the stage and as i said the stage is very big and moved up its scaled like a 3/4 venue.
performers are seated on the floor.

one year i sat at the gramies behind hugh hefner and his 7 girlfriends:nworthy:

the answer is usually no but put in a purse you should be fine, dont you have camera on your phone that will be fine.

they dont want flashes going off on a tv show so be descrite and hide it.

we went to the billboards a couple of years ago. the stage is way over on one side, so if you're way over on the other side, yes, it's a long, long way away from the stage. we were right next to the stage and I still couldn't always tell what was going on. I can't imagine you'd be doing anything but watching the screen from that distance.

i was just in 105 row a to see the stones and those seats where fine,i belive 205 is way on top of that.yes you will see but it will be far away and if i rember they dont have video screens for tv shows inside for the people to see in the far away seats, rember this a tv event geared towards tv viewers

205 is about as far away as you can get. we've always been in 14 or 16 near the floor and the view is good.
