    My Trip Report

Wife and I have been to Vegas 50+ times in the last 30 yrs. Took Vegas virgin
friends with us this time....a mistake. They turn out to be very low rollers...she didn't even put a dime in machines....just wanted to people watch...whatever.

Left Atlanta GA 5pm arr p/u car and checked in South Point by 9pm. We like SP...big rooms...open and well lit casino floor and great air circulation seemingly better paying machines. Grabbed a burger and shake at Steak N Shake and the fun started for wife and I....they roamed and watched but were in room by 1030  I perused the new machines but settled on a 2 cent 100 play TDB video poker. Played the 10 bucks a hand for about 15 min when I hit what I was looking for....dealt 4-threes w/o kicker. Draw was 22 hands with kicker for $1500 hand pay...nice start. Phone battery had died so no pic :grrr:

Played around till 2am with some of the new Colossal Wins WMS machines. They were fun to play and have potential for large jackpots but never hit more than couple of hundred at a time and a long time between bonus rounds.

I had comp rooms and FP at TI and Mirage next 3 nites....let them stay at Mirage we took TI. Mentioned we were celebrating 38th anniversary at TI checkin. I guess that an the $20 trick got us 28th floor strip view room and a bottle of bubbly from room service!

We hopped around the next three days visiting pretty much every casino between TI and Mandalay Bay. Tried to lose the $100 at the Cosmo...wife lost $9...I was up $264 when we left! I really like playing those new WMS machines but just enough luck to keep me interested at all the casinos that had them.

Had more luck at TI with a 4 deuce hit on DW spin poker for over $500, + $500 win on old regular Zeus and a Royal on ten cent 3 line STP on one line for $400. Was so excited forgot to take pic of that one.

Took our friends to see Jersey Boys...we love that show...makes you feel like a teen again

Took them to the Tournament of Kings at Excalibur. I used MyVegas points for our tickets and they gave me 10% discount on the other two tix. Front row seats too. She didn't like eating with her fingers

Wife went to the 'O' show for the 5th time...girlfriend didn't want to spend the $200....can't take it with you hun:rolleyes2:

Low point of trip was Australian BeeGees....very amateurish show and horrible singing for the most part. Fun last 15 minutes when they got to the disco tunes though....saving grace was 2 free MyVegas tix I got.

Used two other MyVegas rewards too. Two margaritas at T&T Grill at Luxor and a free Cravings buffet at Mirage (not near the buffet it used to be...not worth the $35 IMO)

Fun time overall.....4 nites, 15 casinos, food, adult beverages and frivolity....all on less than $100 after all said and done--success in my book!!

Enjoyed your report - thanks for posting! Glad you had a successful, fun trip in spite of your traveling companions...lol. We've had some folks with us in past trips that we would not want going with us again too. :):)
