If you were downtown, the Garden Court Buffet at the Main Street Station would fill the bill. Check the MSS website for times, prices & pictures.

I will leave it to others to describe the many excellent offerings on the L.V. Strip.

Right from the start, based on your "not too expensive", I personally would eliminate some very good buffets, like the Belaggio, Caesars, Mirage, Paris, and Planet Hollywood (unless you have the LVA coupons for the "PH" and Mirage).

My next choice would be the South Point buffet, if you are able to drive 3 miles south of the Luxor .... and even miles further south is the "M" (always crowded).

Closer by, and more reasonable is the Orleans buffet, and way out to the northwest Summerlin area is the SunCoast (also LVA 2/1 coupon).

Downtown, just a block north of the Plaza, is Main Street Station (where we always stay) ... a solid basic buffet, but they just recently raised their dinner prices by $3 ... but there's also an LVA coupon for this one.

    Happy grazing ....

My overall pick would by the Gold Coast, but the best place for you depends on where you plan to be and what coupons/discounts you have. There are plenty of places all over town that have decent-good buffets for not much money.

Another vote for the Gold Coast for breakfast or the Orleans. Both are solid choices for the dollar value.

On a day I am going to eat a buffet, in the morning I eat a light breakfast in the early afternoon I eat a light snack.

By 3:30 when most buffets start serving dinner and there are short lines, I am starving and ready to stuff my face.

    the best

    My recommendations:

Wicked Spoon has an amazing breakfast buffet, the best I've ever had. There is such a huge selection to choose from. They make a lot of the items in these little pans that you just grab and take to ur table. You must try the eggs Benedict, it's very good.

ARIA for dinner by far has the best seafood at their buffet. They have snow grab legs and king grab legs. To top it off they actually cut the legs in half so all you have to do is just grab the meat out. They also have fresh oysters, ginormous ones, very yummy.

Are these coupons in the books the hotel gives you?

I assume you are referring to the "LVA" coupons that I mentioned earlier.
"LVA" is the Las Vegas Advisor, and when you become a member of that ($37 membership fee), you will receive the Members Rewards Book (MRB), with LOTS of coupons in it.

Sam's Town was surprisingly good for the price. Ditto Gold Coast.

Surprisingly, I'm sure a lot of you will laugh, but Terrible's Breakfast Buffet isn't all that bad for I think it's $2.99 if you're a player's club member.

Well, maybe we caught Sam's Town on a bad evening, but we had their dinner buffet about two weeks ago ... it was not that good.

I would vote for Gold Coast and even Orleans for the price. I will add that we enjoy the Flamingos breakfast buffet especially late in the morning when they are changing out food for lunch.
