My wife decided to give this a try.
From what I can see this is simply a way for them to get contacts via you sending stuff to your friends as well as getting you to buy credits to continue playing.

How many people are actually buying credits?
Is there a way to get more free credits without sending friend requests?
What does that "Offer Ends" count down clock actually mean?

You don't need to buy credits.

Some people do, maybe if they went chip bankrupt and didn't want to grind out enough chips from the hotel/things you click on for chips.

Wait a day for your daily bonus and you'll probably get chips. You can earn rewards without adding friends.

    Hi all!
I also came to this game late.

Go to the facebook page of
James Hite ( he keeps a current listing of ALL available free bonus chip links )
    or go to
    MyVegas Chipaway Hotels and Casinos
( current listing of ALL free bonus chip links AND they have daily events ( if your FASSSST enough ) with lots of free bonus chip links that seem to expire in micro seconds. I never can get anything  even though I've clicked one second after it posts .

Hope this assists all late comers :peace:

I never purchased chips and dont intend to.
It's fun to play and anything free, little or big, is pretty darn cool to me.

What is the benefit of adding a friend?

    Hey Now!

Just don't try to use any form of auto-collect app or software. Buying chips will result in being able to use more rewards every 30 days, see previous posts for great info, join My Vegas Friends and check out the files- all knowledge lies therein Grasshopper.....

adding friends gives you the ability to send and receive chips to/from friends and collect when they share their wins

Thanks everyone and will check out the links.

It does appear if you don't mind waiting the points become available....slowly.

Thanks ButterflyMtn for the friend request and will pass that info along to my wife as well.

I don't have any friends set up, and yet i have a night in a Mirage tower suite, front row tickets for Carrot Top, and 3rd row tickets for Terry Fator for my trip in 3 weeks.

I've been playing for a long time but never was playing the "right" way until I looked at some of the posts from people here. Once I started playing low bets I really started racking up the LPs. Ww have 2 comp tickets to Love, great seats and I'm about 20k away from 2 Terry Fator tickets. I play every day, several times a day (on my phone too).

I'm getting better comps from MyVegas than Mlife at this point!

You don't need to buy any, but the first bunch of levels it's harder to not go bankrupt. After a while it's easier to keep a good chip balance.

Make sure you go pick the chips off your strip everyday.

You don't necessarily have to buy the packaged chips and LPs for $. If you want to spend the money you can, however you don't have to. I've played the game for months and gotten very far in the game and never had to buy credits. There is one incentive if you do pay money, it's that you will be allowed more rewards in a 30-day period than if you didn't pay any money.

If you don't want to add friends, there are other ways to earn chips outside. You could play the game simply with chips from each hotel, the daily bonus wheel, and random chips that the myVegas page and/or e-mails hands out. However if you want better Daily Bonuses (higher friend multipliers), Gifts, and Feeds; you'll need friends to do all those things.

Offer Ends have to do with special promotions for packaged chips and LPs. Ignore the message if you don't want to buy anything.

That's the way I've been playing, low bets, and I'm doing quite fine :peace:
Been playing a few weeks and am on level 50, with 52,000 points.
    I'm happy
I've never really played at any MGM property, other than running into MGM a few years back to put a hundred into the famous Lion Share.
I usually stick to CET or WYNN.
This year will be a change for me.

There are quite a few myVEGAS groups out there but the two biggest ones are the myVEGAS Friends and the myVEGAS Gifts, Guides & Giveaways.

You should just join them all, they are all a little different, but are all useful.
