As you can probably guess by our age, our budget isn't limitless here. We are able to afford a hotel on the strip and have a pretty good time though. We are looking at the hotel and flight packaged deals right now because I assume they are the best deal for our budget. There isn't much difference between the search results on Travelocity, Expedia, Pricline, etc. You can at least get on the strip for about $600 but you'll be staying in a pretty crappy hotel. The max I wanna spend on the package is $800. Now for $800, you can actually get a pretty good hotel on the strip.

Problem is I've only been to Vegas once and that was a while ago. So I need some advice on what yall might think the best deals are given our situation. We're looking for a place with a lot of younger single women, a good party scene/lots of bars, and within walking distance of most things that 23 year olds do in Vegas. I just don't want to rack up a fortune in cab bills while I'm there, I'd really prefer to just walk everywhere. The quality of the casino isn't that big of a deal, you can walk to one that's worthwhile in no time.

So given a price range of about $600-$800 for a packaged deal, what do y'all think our best bets are? Thanks fellas.

Book it separate. Use forums like smartervegas.com to get a promo code for the hotel of your choice. If I was doing this same trip I would stay at the cheapest spot in the middle of the strip.

for single d----mb women try palms or hardrock .
it might be best for you guys to stay where u weant to nite club as 3 guys on a weekend will have a problem if you dont buy a bottle so staying at the propeerty might help.
if you have the money just move into the cosmo for 3 days and live at marquee .

I would book seperate also. You can find numerous deals for the flight. As for the Hotel, i'd get a GO Room at Flamingo. You will be in the middle of the action, inside/out Flamingo is Margaritaville, the pool is non stop with woman, you are across the street from Caesars, you can walk to the south strip or north strip and also use the shuttles and Trams, and you are close to Planet Hollywood.

I just got back from a trip with a bunch of friends and we are all in our early 20's. Trust me when I say, you want to stay at Hard Rock. Everyone staying at Hard Rock is our age, and the pool there is just one big fun party. This place is totally geared towards our age group.

Palms also would be a great choice.

80% of the people there are under 30.

Palms and Hard are still a decent location for young people but pretty far from what it was in there prime 10 years ago. Sure they have some decent bars, clubs, restaurants etc but are frankly feeling a little old compared to the new places on the strip. Cosmo being the most hip resort and it is today what Palms and Hard Rock used to be. But there is a lot of other properties with great bars nightclubs on the strip that target towards the younger people, so mid strip is were u want to be especially if u dont want to do a lot of taxi fares. Just find a decent hotel close to Cosmo would be my suggestion and you are right were u want to be. Many clubs, bars, pool parties etc all within walking distance.

If you want to be mid-strip, you might want to look at the Planet Hollywood too.

    Lotta insight. Thanks guys.

I'm definitely going to look into booking it separately and see what kinda deals I can put together doing that.

Palms is not a place for the young crowd any longer. It has really turned into a locals joint. The last few times I've gone there it's been all locals, and an older demographic (as well as some shady characters).

I personally wouldn't recommend it to in this case.

I guess it all relative. Im sure some people thinks Laughlin is jumping, it doesnt mean its better then Vegas.

Not that he needs my defense, but trust me... Paperposter knows his shit when it comes to clubs, music and casino "action"... Palms has made some serious effort of late to reinvigorate the place, and IMHO so has the HRH. Cosmo still is the "in" spot for many on the strip, but it would be a mistake to declare the others dead.

Another advantage to booking seperate is that if you are gamblers, and well its vegas so I kinda think you are, based off your play you may be able to get the room comped and when you package it, like I did the first 2 times, I learned they arent able to comp the room then (or at least they couldnt 6 years ago) I havent stayed there yet, but PHo is where I want to stay this time, its a great location and I think one of the best drink service on the strip, next to TI (IMO)

When are you trying to travel? The south strip might actually become the best place to stay soon for younger crowds. MGM would be a nice place to stay, affordable and they're opening up Hakkasan in a week, they just had their light opening on Friday. This place will be the spot to go to during the nights, along with Light which is opening MDW at Mandalay. Both of the clubs have taken a bunch of the dj talent away from XS and Marquee, like Tiesto, Steve Aoki, Skrillex. Like others have said though, Cosmo is the best place for 20 something year olds. Does your airport have allegiant? That's what I used to book our flight, it was way cheaper than going through expedia or any of those websites.

Im not declaring it dead. Its just that neither Palms or Hard rock doesnt have a top tier nightclub anymore. There is however a lot of other great spots located on the strip. Take Wynn/Encore as an example, they have 3 spots(XS, Surrender, Tryst) that are superior to the spots you just recommended. Also keep in mind that OP didnt want to do a lot of taxi fares making the suggestion staying off strip even worse.

I agree with Bommen, trust me you'd rather go to the tier 1 and 2 clubs rather than the Palms clubs or lounges, whatever you'd like to call them. Remember these are young 20 year old males. They want to be going to places like XS, Surrender, Tryst, Hakkasan, Marquee, 1OAK, Pure, Light, Tao, The Bank, Hyde, and Haze for a lot of young females to talk to.
