A couple people in the Express Comps thread said that they'd recently had issues where they spent time playing and didn't earn any ECs/tier credits/free play/etc. I'm at Mandalay Bay now and spent about 4 hours playing craps yesterday, for which I earned a bunch of ECs, but zero tier credits; I decided to talk to the Mlife desk while I was there, and the guy said that this is a known issue that they're trying to sort out. All my play showed up in the system, so it's fixable, but I thought I'd pass along the fact they know about this and are supposedly working on it.

That's always the story with them. I'm trusting them less and less these days.

From prior reports and my discussion with the guy at the desk, all your play is still getting recorded -- it's just not translating to tier credits for whatever reason. I'd check at the desk and make sure your play is there, and then either at the end of the trip or when you get home, send an email to Mlife customer service and have the adjust you. It's really stupid, but at least this sounds like something they're working on and know how to deal with.

Do you have to keep track of the play yourself? Or is it all there? And maybe they can look it up? 3 desk folks and 3 different answers on earning credits...I got 1000 session points on a dollar slot machine and my tier points only went up 2000 points that just doesn't seem right.

Happened to me a couple weeks back. I got played a few thousand though the $5's and $10's at Bellagio, got home and took a look at my MLife account and saw 0 tier points, I was like "WTF?"
I saw my Pointplay and EC's went up, but zero tier points, so I emailed MLife who forwarded to Bellagio and he played it as a "rare occasion" and did get them posted up.

    So, make sure you verify

Imagine all the poor schmo's who don't look at their accounts regularly?

Happened to me two weeks ago at the MGM. There was a 48 hour delay for some reason. My host zero'd out my express comps to pay for my food tab, and two days later, another 15000 tier credits and $100 express comps shows up.

Same thing happened to me a few months back. When I went to the mlife desk the looked at me like I was crazy until they went and talked to a manager and verified my play was there but was not appearing. They did get it sorted out or so they claimed, before I left. I still think I was missing some points. Also, I wonder if they correct it for everyone or only the people who catch it and complain.

something like this happens to me every single trip these days. either ECs don't post or TCs or play doesn't get transferred to the PC system or something. never does it actually work right. and after every update to their system, it gets worse. at first I just thought they just had awful IT guys, but at this point I really think they are doing it on purpose. most people never notice and it works out better for them.

Yep - their system crashes with astounding regularity. It makes no sense because a corporation their size certainly has the resources to invest in and maintain a much more robust system.

The sad part is that they already spend the money.

In extra staff wages because they either are just standing there waiting for the system to respond. Or having to call somebody else for help. Or dealing with way more customers trying to get answers. This applies to not only mlife, but front desk, food outlets, etc. Systems are terrible.

And no idea what it costs them in upset customers that just give up.

Some bad decisions in this area.

Yes, their systems are terrible. They spent how much time and money "fixing" the web site, and half my bloody offers still don't show up. What's the point.

When I was at Bellagio in September, I had the same thing happen with the tier credits - mucho, mucho money into a machine - no tier credits. The system was "down" I was told. They did eventually show up.

I waited in line at the store at Bellagio - Tutto's or something like that - for like 20 minutes because the system was again, down, and the guy in front of me in lin wanted to charge stuff to his room. They had to handle the transaction manually.

As a further update, despite being assured by the guy at the Mlife desk that the known problem was limited to gambling-related tier credits, and that my resort spend should post upon checkout, you all will be truly shocked to hear that this didn't happen. They said to email tomorrow, we'll see how it goes.

Things worked just fine during my November and September trips, so I guess this is just my Mlife luck catching up to me.

    i think they've done a 1-time retro fix

at the end of my recent trip i was at ~265K TC.

Then out of nowhere, boom, i'm at 375K (not that it really matters since I probably won't hit Noir this year anyway)

I can confirm this is still happening... I'm in Vegas now, and have earned only 7000 tier credits and $16 in express comps according to mlife. The first night I was worried my session wasn't properly recorded and e-mailed my host, but he said it was showing properly in the system.

I'm betting $100-$300 a hand in Blackjack for 4+ hours a day, so I know it's an issue with their system...

I can confirm as well. Just spent 4 nights in Vegas. Only gambled at MGM properties. Earned $162 in Express Comps but my tier credits only went from 441,500 to 443,090. That's screwed up!

so you have to wait for them to fix it? how would anyone know if the amount they finally post is correct? Are ECs still not posting right away? Since we only go 1-2 times a year so we like to use them for food and stuff before we leave for home.

Last week the EC's and PP seemed to be posting immediately, it's just the TC's that seem to be off. Our TC's definitely didn't posting correctly, showing us about 33k TC's earned by the time we left Vegas and now that we have been home a week it's gone up to just under 50k TCs earned; I'm pretty sure it's stilll wrong as we earned about $98 in EC's so I figure we're still out 27-30k in TC's as when compared to the stats we have from December being: $100 EC's and TC's were 80k. We don't care for the specialty machines much so don't have to factor those in much at all.

Happened to me last weekend @ Bellagio. Played 7.5 hours @ $100 a hand BJ. Only received 2k TC, but I did receive all my EC. I've called and emailed them and have received the same reply, "Our engineering team will look into it."
