    Hey all,

Flying with Allegiant Air (flown with them before but never out of Vegas).

My flight leaves at 7:00am on Monday May 27 (Memorial weekend).

I have pre-selected seats and pre-paid carry on.

They suggest to be at the airport 2.5 hours prior to departure. I will be staying at Bally's...what time should I really be arriving at the airport and leaving Bally's?

Every time we left Vegas on Allegiant there was a super long line. Someone else may be able to give information on computer checking before leaving Ballys to avoid the long line.

If I have to choose between a long line and an extra hour of sleep...I'll take the long line. Hope this extra info helps.

I have my limo leave 1.5 hours before my flight. that puts me at the gate about 45 min before my flight. if I didn't check bags I would have the limo leave probably 1.25 hours before my flight. plenty of time IMO.

We will have to be taking a cab. So maybe head down to the cab line at 5:00am?

If you already have your boarding pass printed, since your not checking bags, I'd get to the airport at 5:30 for a 7am flight. Allegiant makes those who purchased reserved seats board first, and give them away if your not on the plane. Typically they start boarding at least 30 minutes before departure.

The security lines for Terminal D can be huge since there are a ton of Allegiant flights that all leave at about the same time.

5:15 am if using the skycap, though if you don't mind, 5:05 am seems to be the trigger for lines at the skycap. Lines are insane at the ticket counter.

I would rather waste time past security than stand in line.

Factor in that it's Memorial day morning that you are flying out, give yourself a little more time to stand in line with everyone else at the counter/skycap then again at security.

For the 7Am flight, I'd hop in the cab between 5-5:15AM.

And remember that all government personnel are being furloughed, and that includes TSA. Where I work we are going to be missing 2 people per shift. I will be erring on the side of caution when I go.

What you have to remember the reason to arrive early for your flight is to make sure that your baggage makes it on your flight if you check bags. If you check bags than a one hour minimum is required for domestic flights, if you don't check bags take into account how long the lines are for security. But read the rules on the Allegiant website for at gate arrival times.

fyi - If not checking bags, Allegiant now offers on-line check-in 24 hrs in advance. Print out boarding pass and head right to security, bypassing long lines at check-in.
