So the last couple of times to Vegas I have walked down to Aria and City Center. I always feel like there should be more to see at the end of a long walk down a mostly uninhabited street (hardly pass anyone else walking there).

Is going to Check out the Aria worth the 10 minute walk down the street/driveway entrance? What is there to see there that is a must see?

If you are a fan of modern architecture and art its interesting to walk around and look at everything. The design aspect i feel is very unique. Every casino on the strip is unique in their own way. I enjoy them all - even the older ones. You should take a morning walk to Jean Phillipe inside Aria and get a croissant with a cup of coffee. I think that would be worth the walk.

At the main porte cochere there is a curved water fall that varies in intensity that was kinda cool to watch and see. If you like modern art structures, there are several spread around that are kinda cool to look at, one made of a bunch of canoes for example. Inside the casino and structure there are many details that are fun to see, but unlike Bellagio there is not really a stand-out feature, but I think there is a bit more to see than some of the other resorts like Monte Carlo, or even MGM, or any others that no longer have a theme to them. I am not sure what street you are meaning that is uninhabited and 10 mins to walk, but from the strip, you can get to the ARIA casino in less than 5 mins, and Crystals, their mall has an entrance on the second level right on the strip, which has some unique exhibits if you want to call them that to wander and see itself.

Definitely worth at least a passing stop in to see if it tickles your fancy.

It only takes a couple minutes from the strip to Aria. Definitely worth 2 minutes to check out the exterior water designs and the casino. Aria has many of my favorite restaurants. Bar Masa, American Fish, and Sage.

BTW American Fish has a kick ass happy hour menu.

Absolutely! Will you "love" it? Maybe... maybe not, but if you're a Vegas lover I think you owe it to yourself to visit the most expensive complex the city has to offer.

Unless u having a problem walking u are making to big of a deal of the distance from the strip. It takes less then 5 minutes and is similar to the walk u have to make to get from the strip to the Bellagio.

Are you saying to have already walked to Aria, or you have walked near there, but not gone all the way in? Color me confused.

If you are out looking around, there are multiple ways to get back there.

a- Into Cosmo, up to 2nd floor, then outside walkway into Crystals. Through Crystals and eventually back outside and 40 feet later into Aria.

b- Go out the back way from Bellagio near Spa tower. Cut through Vdara and then into Aria back entrance.

    c) From street - walk towards Aria

    d) From South, come in via Monte Carlo, go way to back by the pub and then up stairs towards monorail, then into Aria

If you have never been there, it is worth a visit. Assuming you like to see different places, etc.

Yah, we've been there and used #3 was our walking path. We could argue whether it is 5 or 10 minutes...but we are usually the only ones walking in that way.

We peeked in, walked out...felt just kind of uneventful.

I think Aria is definitely worth a visit. There is an official art tour map you can get at the Aria Concierge. I've done it twice.

Ilovetogamble has a great suggestion of visiting Jean Phillipe for a croissant and coffee.

I guess it depends how you walk to Aria/City Center. If you walk through the Cosmo and then through Crystals and back out onto the Strip at night, and yes I know I skipped Aria, it's a good people watching route.

its a fun spot, but what are u looking for? I agree with Bommen, you aren't taking any longer to get to aria than it takes to get to bellagio from the strip. if you are worried about time, pick and choose, but if you are just exploring it can be neat.

The first time I went to Aria (because it was new) my reaction was "why did I come here again?".

The next time was because I had a MyVegas comp there. Its a perfectly nice property, and if there was something I wanted to see or do there thats one thing.

But there really wasn't anything that felt special or must see, and would justify going for the sake of going.

the free elevated tram that stops at Aria / Crystals runs between Monte Carlo and Bellagio, of course. because a walk through the conservatory at Bellagio is a must-see on most of our trips, continuing on to the tram stop at Bellagio is our normal way of getting from, say, Mirage or Caesars to Aria. the view of CityCenter from the tram is more interesting to me than the view from Las Vegas Boulevard, especially at night. most of the artwork is inside or near the two entrances at Aria, so you're not missing much besides a giant eraser if you skip the walk from the Strip and take the tram instead. to see all of Aria, get off at the Crystals stop, by the way. once you've explored Aria, then you can continue on to Monte Carlo by foot or tram and make the short walk that follows to get from the south entrance of Monte Carlo to NYNY or MGM. you definitely won't be missing anything worth seeing along the stretch of LV Blvd. that runs from Cosmo to NYNY.

I have always wanted to spend a bit more time at aria so I am going to give it a go from the inside and go through Bellagio.

Thanks for the suggestion. I hear the gambling isn't bad there either so what the heck I will give it a go.

The OP was going to walk the Strip anyway, but I probably should have mentioned that two of the CityCenter tram stations are situated outside. At certain times of the year, you will be subjected for five minutes or so to the extremes of Vegas winter nights or summer days. Also, the escalators are very steep to both, so -- potential smarminess aside -- stiletto heels and short skirts could also be negative factors in taking this route.

    I can confirm this.

My wife was in a skirt and heels. I was standing behind her chatting it up with a group of guys who turned out to be fellow alumni. I thought they were as happy to run into a fellow alum as much as I was because alll of them had huge smiles on their face. When I turned around I realized that she was unknowingly giving them all a free show. :confused2:

Yeah! It's a great place. I stop there on probably 90% of my trips. Great casino, if you like the gamble. It's worth it just to kinda check it out, because it looks good... My love affair with CityCenter is dying off, but probably because I've been so many times haha.

If you go to CityCenter make a trip out of it, go to Cosmo and Aria, and look at Crystals then it's worth it. You can always tram there from Bellagio or Monte Carlo.

I finally went into Aria after skipping it 2 trips in a row. I was underwhelmed. It looked like a slightly fancier MGM and was just...not right. No one in there looked like they were having any fun at all and it was very stuffy and boring. Also it took some work to figure out how to actually get inside, which kind of pissed me off since the entire Vegas model is to get you inside and keep you there. I literally could not wait to get back out once I made it in.
