Louisville men not allowed to attend women's game

After the Louisville men triumphed in a thrilling 82-76 win over Michigan Monday night, Pitino was told by the NCAA that it would be against NCAA rules for his team to travel from Atlanta to New Orleans at the school or coach's expense. The Louisville women's team faces Big East rival Connecticut at the Superdome in a rematch of the 2009 NCAA title game.

But we all know the NCAA's motto, it's all about the kids.

Word is Pitino is still gonna be there... I took the Cards (girls) +14, but I didn't bet the farm... Louisville have beat some really good teams to get here, so they're no slouch, but UCONN has the horses to run you outta the building if the get on a roll.

i'm sure i'm the only one, but if i had just played on the mens national champion basketball team, i wouldn't want to have to sit in the stands and cheer for the womens team the next night. i'll bet the players are bitter because it means no celebration on bourbon street.

Nope, change them for everyone of course. Not every rule should be one.

Don't worry though...Pitino, the AD, the president and god knows how many administrators will be quite comfortable on their chartered jet to The Big Easy. And of course, they won't have to worry about the cost coming out of their seven figure pay checks. :rolleyes2:

I wonder, was there a clause in the 13th amendment exempting colleges and universities? Or do they just have the best lawyers in history?
