    Hi Everyone,

Just moved into town but I'm living close to Downtown/Fremont Street. Which casinos in Fremont are the most locals friendly? Appreciate comments and i'll put a poll in to make it easier.

I'm not a local, but I suspect the El Cortez because they provide the best gaming odds.

I would guess the three Boyd properties. They also own a few other "locals" casinos in town. They share the same players card and offer some of the better VP.

I agree with this assessment and I notice you don't have Main Street Station in your poll. Even when we lived in Vegas, MSS was one of our favorites.

Besides, MSS that would be Fremont & The Cal downtown. Other non-downtown Boyd properties that are very local friendly...
Suncoast, Sam's, Gold Coast & Orleans

I would have voted for MSS.

    Rooms - The Plaza
Gambling / Comps - Four Queens, then Boyd Hotels.

My brother moved to Vegas a few years ago, and typically stays downtown at least once every few months to meet up with people in town to visit so he can drink and gamble without worrying about driving.

He typically stays at the Plaza due to the nice rooms post remodel and good room rates. The Boyd hotels are typically more expensive (if not comped), and The California is the only place I (and he) likes to stay at (MSS too noisy, Fremont bathrooms ridiculously small).

Four Queens has the most generous cash back policy (and good FP VP - the Boyd Group also has FP VP but poor cash back) and it's pretty easy to get comped rooms (the only place besides CET my brother has received a full comp at). Boyd casinos let you accrue and use points throughout the Vegas valley.

One note - although they do not have a downtown property, my brother gets decent discounts with his CET card with the Nevada "locals" sticker, including good discounts at buffets. Worth switching your card over if you ever plan on visiting their properties.
