We just got a mailer offer yesterday:

Complimentary round trip airfare for two
Shuttle service to and from the airport
    Deluxe city view hotel accomodations

I called and verified - no extra charges unless you cancel 7 days prior... We have never been to Biloxi. We have Vegas trips planned in Aug (staying at TheHotel / in the midst of planning end of June (not sure yet)...

Anyone take them up on this offer before?? thoughts? I guess I'm just leary. Would you go? Decent flights (only 1 1/2 hr for us) Sat - Tues. Was going to go over Memorial Day.

Since we moved up to Mlife-Gold in Feb the offers are starting to come in..

We do it every chance we can. We usually get 3 or 4 offers a year. It is a nice trip. They take you to the casino via bus and when you arrive they get a copy of a credit card and give you your room keys. Your luggage is to your room within 2 hours. Usually I am at the craps table within 45 minutes of landing.

You are next door to the Hard rock. They have a casino hopper in biloxi that will take you to other casinos and places. The Seafood is very good. You are not very far from New Orleans if you want to rent a car. The Beau is pretty good about comping food if you gamble. They use express comps first.

that's the one thing you have to be leery of. they give you absolutely ZERO discretionary comps until they empty your express comps. the biggest scam in the industry if you ask me. and I've talked to the guy that instituted this policy and told him it was BS, but he won't budge. one trip i had at least 10k in unused primary comps, but they still dinged my ECs $200 for a bottle of wine. super lame. but I guess with them dropping the entire EC program later this year it doesn't matter anyway.

but as far as the flight and stuff, it's legit. it's run by Vision Air. the trip itself can be rough because they often have delays and other issues, but it's alright. the casino itself is the nicest in the gulf area by far.

Thanks guys, we have actually been ignoring our EC, and don't plan on using them until Aug, maybe Dec trip. We would be happy to pay for food (with free airfare/room) who knows between this one & Aug - maybe we will make it to Platinum by year end? :)

Was thinking a non-MGM for June... but maybe not? As they are being so accomodating.

I always enjoyed our trips to the BR, however, at the beginning of the year, the hotel went smoke free, so we won't be going back. (Unless they want to throw us a suite, which I doubt).

He is talking about the rooms, not the casino. It has been that way since late last year. We stayed in a non-smaking room, but I believe that it had been a smoking room. It was not bad but the bed had a slight smoke odor.

yes, I was talking about the rooms. We like to lounge around in the room in the mornings, and don't want to have to get dressed to go downstairs to have our fix.

Uhhhh.... You won't earn tier points anywhere near as fast in mississippi as you have in Vegas. Not even close. Although it seems like the express comps build faster there. I was there 10 days ago and my offer had $200 food allowance per night. I didn't even come close to that, so they didn't use any of my express comps. I maxed out at $5000 during that trip so I went down and got $400 of logo items ( a lot of golf balls) so my account is back down to $4600 now.
During my stay of 2 nights at the Beau and 2 really short nights at gold strike in tunica, I earned about $800 in express comps and only 17,000 in tiers. So it would be a long haul to platinum

A couple of good things...flight was quick from Houston...drinks free flowing...quickly moved to the shuttle at landing and top notch herding through check-in...they even take your bags to your room so you can begin gambling quickly.

Bad things...the drinks are not free flowing...actually not existent at all on the way back home :(

Renting a car at the Beau is a fleet of terrible 1992 hatchbacks that barely run and are standard crud across the board. Mine was orange and took a shimmy and some magic to get the shifter to get out of park and/or the door to open. Luckily, you can shuttle other places. We enjoyed playing at IP (which is still sending good offers) and used two good new member bonuses at some of the other casinos...Treasure Bay does a $100 slot loss including VP. $100 is added in free play the next day at 10 am. The other one was a double your free play deal for new members at Island View in Gulfport (why we got a car)...free play has to be from a casino in a neighboring state (FL is included I believe) and you must surrender the physical offer. I used a $100 FP offer from Harrah's NOLA that I wasn't going to be able to use anyhow...$200 in FP. Can't use on VP but I still ended up a winner from this.

Have fun...the Beau is neat but the games aren't my favorite...a bit behind the trends in my opinion.

Gregsmt - I think you pretty much hit the nail on the head.. We have a Vegas trip planned in June / Aug / Dec. Those "vegas" trips may put us into Platinum.. and I don't want Biloxi to effect that. That being said I think we might save our bank roll and vacation time for Vegas - that's my true love anyways...

The airfare offer is nice and all, we do not smoke - but I sure like to drink!
and play some BJ - Slots - :ssst:

    Thanks again for great advice!

I think that if you like to gamble you should take this offer or one in the future it is a very nice trip. the area is very nice I have rented a car at the beau and it was ok(it was a rental) and I believe they have an Enterprise office there now. I believe the drinks he is talking about are on the flight back home. I have never seen people have a problem getting a drink in the Beau or any of the other casinos(no worse than vegas).:drunk:
