So when does Fremont street get hopping?

I am staying downtown for 1 night but the next morning I want to go to Pawn Stars and Counts Kustoms - so there won't be time that morning for Fremont.

Is it worth coming back to some morning? (I'll be out and about the evening I arrive there and I've been to Fremont before in the evening but usually not much in the morning).

Nothing to see in the morning. Looks deserted until about mid afternoon.
Personally -- I love it, no crowds, go wherever you want. Have the place to yourself.
If you're looking for something to see or do, you're in the wrong spot!

Fremont Street is dead in the morning (before 10am) - it really doesn't truly start to pick up 'til around 4pm.

I'm with you, I actually enjoy the quiet mornings on Freemont Street. But I also will go back and soak up the atmosphere at night.

Do you guys feel that the casinos on Fremont are tighter earlier in the day when less is going on and less people are out and about, or are the payouts pretty much consistent no matter what time of day?

we have had some pretty good luck early mornings and some bad luck other days just like when it`s crazy busy in the evenings.

you will have a great time on fremont.

In the mornings before 11AM Fremont Street will have a few tourists around and the merchants setting up their stalls, but also quite a few bums hanging around looking through the trash or going to McDonald's.

Inside the casinos its pretty quiet. Places will food courts will usually be busier but otherwise if you are going to gamble the drink service is usually pretty good and you can find almost any game you want available to play.

Then its pretty much around 2-3PM when things start to pick up. The stores and kiosks will all be busier, though the casinos will still be a little slow.

After that it seems to be around 4-5PM when things start to really pick up and by about 5:30-6PM the party that is Fremont Street is usually going in full swing.

If you are a morning person (or arriving early) seeing the walk of shames in the am are fun. You can tell who's been out all night and who has just gotten up...
