    Way too close to reality. My favorite new trend in our local news is that there will be some kind of event (arrest, shooting, etc) and the newscaster will tell some person nearby about it and film their reaction and put that on the news. We used to get stories from witnesses, family members, victims, but now we just get this exchange:

    News dude: Did you know there was a robbery here last night?
    Regular dude: What!?!? There never used to be robberies there. That's CRAZY!!
    News dude: It is, regular guy. It is. Back to you, Tom.
