I just heard that 3 out of 9 100% VP Machines at Aliante Casino have gone MIA. That's terrible. I'm trying to find out if those 3 slant tops near Fridays have been permanently removed or are just being relocated to somewhere else on the Casino Floor. And Wifey and I are hoping they're not planning to remove all the 100% VP machines from the casino floor. We're booked at Aliante for 8 nights in May but if they remove all the 100% VP machines, we won't be going back to Aliante. We'll have to look into staying at Stations where we're currently at the President level.

That would be a bummer.... things are definitely not getting any better for 100%+ players like yourself. It wouldn't surprise me to see them cut back.

I think I read something about Stations recently cutting back on the points for positive expectation VP players.

Apparently someone gave VPFree2 some bad info regarding Aliante Casino. In regard to the 100.76% DW Video Poker machines, the three slant tops near Friday's were not removed as previously reported (roughly 1 day ago). They are still there on the Casino floor. That's a relief.

You know the old saying that you can't believe everything you read? Sadly in this case, you can. We are enjoying our semi-annual pilgrimage at Red Rock for the week, and decided to hop over to Aliante for the afternoon and evening yesterday, partly because we've usually done well on VP there in the past and also to see what changes have been made since the new ownership took over. I usually make a recon trip around the casino floor before I settle into my playing mode, and this trip was no different. Unfortunately, to my dismay, the changes made were not for the better. When stations still managed Aliante, there were a total of 13 100%VP machines. The 9 you are thinking of, and the 4 slant tops in front of Capriotti's at the food court. Of the 13 machines, only 6 remain at 100%. The 3 in front of the rewards center in the non smoking section and the 3 down the alcove around the corner of the MRKT restaurant. The other 7 former 100% machines have been converted to your standard Game Maker machine. Sorry to give you the bad news, wish I could tell you they added more 100%'s but, as Nevada Kid stated, the trend seems to be headed towards less vs status quo. However, on a positive note, we did leave with considerably more than we came with, thanks to a combination of Super Times Play, Super Triple Play, Triple and Five Play and 99.8% machines. On a side note, DON'T waste your money or points at the "new" Medleys buffet!! Absolutely horrible!!!

I've been told by a local who checked this afternoon and the nine (three banks of three slant tops) 100% VP machines that had 100.76% full pay deuces wild are still there. The machines have not been removed and the pay schedule is still full pay (100.76%). I heard quite a while ago that the 100% panels on all of those machines are a Stations trademark and they panels would be changed to Game Maker or something like that.

Also, the Director of Slot Operations has confirmed that they have not removed any 100% machines from the area around Fridays, or the Rewards Center. He went on to say they have 13 Video Poker games that are 100% or above throughout the property.

I hope they will still be there for your trip. We like to read your marathon session trip reports.
