Hey guys! I am planning a trip for the end of April and I really want to book a room with a terrace at Cosmopolitan, but have read that some of the rooms smell of smoke even though you're only supposed to smoke out on the terrace. Can anyone that has been there recently weigh in on this? I am going with my sister who is sensitive to smoke. It isn't such a big deal to be in it while we're in the casinos, but sleeping in a room that smells even a little like smoke is going to bother her to no end. So I guess my question is to those of you who have stayed in one of the terrace rooms, did it smell even the least bit like smoke while you were in the room? Thanks for your help!

I've stayed in terrace rooms a few times. Never smelled like smoke inside.

But last stay was over a year ago. Lots of time for things to have changed.

I'd suggest you let them know when you check in, just so they know that you'll be coming back if it smells like cancer.

Have stayed there four times over the past couple of years. Never smelled any smoke in rooms. Wife was there three of the times, she is very sensitive to smoke, and never said she smelled any smoke in rooms.

For those who have replied, those were terrace rooms right? The reason I ask is because I think the non-terrace rooms are non-smoking anyway, right? Unless there are some that are designated for smoking of course. But the terrace rooms are non smoking other than on the terrace, but I've read a few reviews that it seeps in through the doors and causes a smoke smell in the room. Just want to be sure here because I would feel awful if I got a room here and my sister had to suffer at night while trying to sleep in the smoke smell.

Thanks again everyone! I appreciate the help!

Yes, for us it was a terrace room. We never smelled smoke in either the room or on the terrace.

I've stayed 2 times at the Cosmo, both times were in wraparound terrace suites, never did smell any smoke.

Great, thanks again so much! Going to try to convince her that this is a good place for us to stay. Is the casino pretty bad for smoke? It is pretty much either Cosmo, Bellagio or Venetian. I have heard nothing but great things about Bellagio's ventilation system in the casino. I have stayed at Venetian in the past and didn't think their smoke smell in the casino portion was that bad.

So any insight regarding the smell of smoke in the casino area? I know it will smell somewhat like smoke, but is it bad like Excalibur (probably not that bad, but is it quite strong) or is it pretty good like Venetian or really good like Bellagio? Thanks again everyone!

Had terrace rooms all four times we stayed there, no smoke smell in rooms. I did not notice a strong smoke smell in the casino, but smoke doesn't bother me anyway, so maybe I just didn't notice it.

It is not bad at all. My wife has asthma, and cigarette smoke is THE thing that gives her an attack. She has had no issues in the Cosmo casino.
