Hi, I am from Australia and planning an elopement wedding to Vegas, mid next year. We want something romantic and intimate, without the Vegas stereotype that we sometimes see in movies. Does anyone have any recommendations to start our research?

    Thanks so much.

    K.

We got married at the Wynn, primrose garden, no typical Vegas stereotype wedding here, we were treated like royalty by the superb wedding staff at Wynn, with no Elvis impersonator in sight! lol So could be worth a start by looking here. :peace:

All the casino hotels are going to have chapels that are more traditional as well as more expensive than the stand alone chapels. But some of the stand alone chapels can be quite lovely as well with nary an elvis or sequin in sight.....:peace:

We got married at the Tropicana (in 2005, before it went downhill and came back up!) out in the gazebo. It was quiet and felt tropical... really pretty! The coolest thing was they took care of everything for us. We had a couple choices here and there, like roses or tropical flowers, that sort of thing. I'm not sure what the Trop weddings are like these days, but I'm guessing most of the hotels have similar procedures. Vegas weddings can be so awesome! Congrats!

The newest thing is the Las Vegas Wedding Wagon. They will preform your ceremony in a public place (no casinos) or in your suite for $129. This does not include your marriage license.

We got married last October at Vegas wedding chapel on the terrace its not too far from the marriage license building. They have a very pretty gazebo and its shown live on webcam. They were very good to us and have some good packages too.

We got married 3 years ago at the Little Church of the West, which is roughly right across from Mandalay Bay (we stayed at Mandalay Bay)

    http://www.littlechurchlv.com/

Was by far cheaper then having a ceremony at MB and its the (only?) historic chapel left. We took everyone to dinner at Strip Steak at MB after.

FYI - They won't allow you to bring your own photographer with you (we flew ours out with us from Buffalo and they had to stay at the hotel while we were in the chapel ) obviously cause they want you to pay for their photo package.

And don't forget your marriage license! :) Even staying at MB took me 10 minutes to drive from the chapel, through the hotel, up the elevator, to the room, grab a single piece of paper and then all the way back as everyone in the hotel was starring at me as I ran through the lobby in hard healed shoes making a ton of noise haha.
