I love to read about what other people enjoy doing, no matter how extravagant or simplistic.

What does your typical day in Vegas look like?

It can vary based on the agenda, and if Im there with others. But for the last couple solo trips:

8:30-9ish , wake up, shower etc
    9-930, breakfast (usually buffet)
10:30, wander, pick up show tickets if any, do some morning gambling (blackjack or poker)
1pm: Keep playing poker, or hang out by the pool for a couple hours (usually tanning/reading with a couple dips to cool off)
anywhere from 5 to 6:30 ish: Get dinner
7-10 ish: go to a show, if any.
    After 10 - whatever I feel like

When I'm there with others, there is generally less poker, and more staying up and drinking, and the wake up is later.

Our typical day starts out around 0800. We get up and my husband must have a laté before he is a human, so we wash faces/brush teeth and dress casually to go down to Java Detour (we're at the Flamingo) and get him a large vanilla laté and I get a small laté. Depending on the severity of the hangover we may split a croissant or get a muffin for him and bagel for me. We sit on the couches outside Sin City Brew Co. looking out into the habitat area for a while drinking our coffees, reading e-mails and news, etc. We may sit outside if weather is nice, but usually there are just too many smokers out on the patio. We will usually take a stroll through the habitat after coffee. We miss the Guinea foul that was killed by that guy a while back. We stop to look at the koi and ducks, see if we can spot any humming birds (we have tons of them in Hollywood, they're like our personal mascots) and admire the flamingos and ibis.

Then it's back into the casino to scope out our favorite slots, we wander around until we find two open next to each other (that may be at Flamingo or another CET property), sit down, put in $100 each and get the attention of the CW. Thus begins our first session of the day which will likely last until 1500 or 1600 with many beers, SoCo/diets, Vodka/sugar frees, Vodka/tomatoes, etc. Depending on how fast we go through the cash, that could be all at the same machine, or we might hop around a bit.

After that, it's usually back up to the room to enjoy the view, get romantic, shower, shave, etc. not necessarily in that order. Generally getting ready for the evening. We usually have the south facing view at Flamingo, so we can sit and watch the Bellagio fountains for a bit, listen to some music and let some of the alcohol settle.

Once ready, may stop into the Diamond lounge, but usually it's off to dinner. This will be a medium to medium-nice restaurant, never fast food. We just like to have a nice, slower paced meal to get recharged.

After dinner, assuming we don't have a show, it's back to the slots and drinking until we can barely sit upright anymore and stumble back to the room for sloppy attempts at romance and passing out so we can do it all again the next day!

It sounds so formulaic now, but I can't wait for our next trip.

Up at around 4:30 a.m. Mini groom and head downstairs to get coffee. Smoke my brains out while slopping up as much coffee as I can get my hands on - in front of whichever slot machine I've chosen.

At around 7:00 grab a muffin or bagel - up to the room to eat and shower.

8:00 a.m. until 8 or 9 p.m. I gamble, and then I gamble a bit more - and then I have an evening gamble. Breaks for meals are allowed - sometimes.

I am trying to change my wicked ways though, My May trip will have to exclude the "smoking my brains out" as I'm on day 153 of no smoking (and I don't believe I can be one of those people who only smoke in Vegas). I do have 2 shows scheduled as well (thanks to myVegas) - and I may even find a M&G to attend. Plus my 4th night is at Vdara where I do hope to just spend the evening relaxing and enjoying my Penthouse Suite and may even involve a trip to their spa.

We always go in the warm weather months:

    Late breakfast in the room
    Morning gambling session
Spend the day in a cabana at a pool party
Girls get their hair and makeup done in the salon while the guys gamble
    Nice dinner somewhere
    Bottle service at a club
    Post-club fun in the room
    Sleep
    Wake up and repeat

Sometimes we'll work in a show one night, but we've seen all the good ones. If the weather doesn't cooperate one day, then the pool is replaced by shopping.

This year we're planning to use the last day as a spa/sleep/recovery day so we don't need a vacation from our vacation when we return home.

1st day - excitedly review plans for the trip.

Get distracted by the slots. Get persuaded to drink by the cocktail waitress demanding I order "Drinks?, Drinks?" play & drink a while... Decide the slots are the devil or are the most awesome thing ever invented & play some table games... remember there are other things to do in Vegas - maybe eat a bit & walk to another casino... get distracted.

Next day - wake up....while kneeling at the alter make pact with G*D that I will go do something else this day. Go to the gym, feel great & clean up - go downstairs and get distracted...

    That's about how it goes

    Wake up way too early.
    Shower
    Head to tables.
Get a bloody mary and gamble.
    Switch to beers, gamble
    Repeat this for several hours
    If up, continue.
If down, hit the pool to stop spending money.
Spend money at the pool on overpriced drinks
Realize I'm pretty drunk, leave pool or tables and eat.
Try and rest, but realize that is boring
    Go back to drambling.
Continue on until friends think we should eat.
    Eat.
    Dramble.
Realize it's nearly time for the sunrise, plan on going to bed.
    Dramble for two more hours.
    Stumble back to room

    Repeat this for three days.

A typical solo trip looks like-

Get up around 6 a.m., drink half a gallon of water. Tidy up all the cups/bottes/glasses from the night before. Check wallet to see if I have any money at all. Shower, decide on breakfast destination, normally Dupars, Hash House, Mon Ami Gabby. Take elevator downstairs. Now, if I do have some small bills left for tips/panhandlers and the like, I'll probably make it out of the casino, and get breakfast, and have a civilized day. If I don't, then I'll just throw a hundred in, intending to play down to $97 so I'll have change, which quickly escalates to more hundreds, bourbon for breakfast, and stumbling back to the room at 7 p.m. with take out pizza.

A trip with a woman looks like-

Get up around 6 a.m., shower, wait. Wait, wait, wait. Watch local news. Volunteer to go get takeout coffee and pastry, run $200 through machines as fast as I can, come back with cold coffee. Prepare excuse for length of time gone, but find no need, as shower still running for another 45 minutes. Finally get real food at 1:15. Head to outlet mall. Concentrate real hard on sales associate's names, so when I'm asked if anyone helped me, I don't have to say "The girl with the pink hair, covered in tattoos". Not, of course, that anyone actually helps me, as I buy nothing, myself. Back to room, then nap or gamble some, get spruced up for dinner. Mood improves markedly over a bottle of wine, more gambling, maybe some people watching.

A trip with the guys looks like-

Get up at 9 a.m., wondering what that smell is. Realize it is everything, and everyone. Head count. Shower before all the towels are wet, get takeout breakfast burritos, and eat in room, drinking beer from fridge. Watch bodies re-animate one by one, hear stories again of how close everyone was to a million dollar payout at some obscure pleasure pit game the night before. Shot or two to be social, the group pocket check to see if anyone has TITOs worth more that $0.85 each, then off for lunch to whichever restaurant advertises the drink with the most ounces of alcohol in it. Gambling, then something else, just can't seem to remember.

My day usually starts by getting up at 7:30 to go stand in line to get a chair at the Mirage pool. Along the way, I will pick up a Dr. Pepper and cheetos, which is my breakfast of choice.
After a leisurely few hours of pool, people-watching, and beer drinking with my friends, we head up to the room to shower, shampoo, and shine. I almost always have 3 other people in the room, so I go first and I head straight to the Sports Bar for video poker. I never wait in the room for people to get ready because I annoy them with my foot tapping and they annoy me with their slowness. If the vp sucks up my money and nobody has come down yet, I will head into the racebook. My friends will trickle in and we will bet on a couple races then head to lunch.
I usually have a groupon or Restaurant.com certificate to use for lunch. Loved Stripburger, Senor Frog's not so much.
After lunch, I must go to Casino Royale for a $1 Michelob Light. I might play a machine, but usually we wander in and out of casinos from Harrah's to Paris. We usually do our own slot tournament in each one. $5 in a machine, last one with money is the winner. This takes us through the afternoon.

After that it's back to the hotel to get ready for the night. We usually head somewhere for appetizers and after that I go play blackjack or craps and the rest of my crew usually plays slots.
Only 2 more months til we do it all again, yay!

usually go sunday thru thursday; usually stay at south point; always drive; keep cooler full of cold drinks and water

wake up between 11 am and 1 pm

go for high-end lunch special or happy hour - estiatorio milos, verandah, settebello, metro pizza

shopping - no target tj maxx, marshalls or burlington where we live; vegas pawn shops - normally shit but some SUPER finds; even high end casino malls like cp or ph if it's a longer trip

moderately priced dinner - usually chinatown: we favor cravin' cajun, big wong, or monta ramen

night club - free unless (tier 1), very short or no line--once again thanks chris hornak for the VIP gueslist

rehydration - usually cornado cafe taxi driver - burger, steak and eggs, or pancake; depending on how early maybe in n out

*our wildcard is travelzoo specials. we've really made out on these and have only had one bad one

**i really want to start taking my my nightclub clothes to be pressed as soon as i hit town, ironing them is always a drag

I'm usually up between 7 and 8, so I'll go gamble for an hour or so then go back to the room to wake everyone up. By the pool by 10 to get the party started. Head back up around 4 to get ready for the night. Casino hop for a while then usually settle at a bar or club for a few hours. After that is usually gambling at the hotel until anywhere from 4 to 8am. Get an hour a more of sleep if I'm lucky and start the process over again.

Eat at the buffets/restaurants I've scheduled for myself for that day.
Go to any attractions I've scheduled for myself for that day.
If I'm scheduled to see a show, I go see it.
Most importantly, I take a lot of pictures & some videos. I'm a photography nut.
    That's pretty much it.

I don't think I have ever had a repeat day in Vegas. There are so many different things to do at any given time. Two weeks ago was my first solo trip and I had a lot of fun doing what I wanted, when I wanted. I stayed up late, slept in late (thanks to Tylenol PMs) and did whatever sounded good that day.

My wife wakes up by 7:00am (that is 7:00am Eastern, 4:00am Vegas) and tells me to hurry and shower so we can eat breakfast and start gambling.

No matter how late I stayed up or how much I drink I never get to "sleep it off".

Even wake up drunk? I don't get to sleep long enough to wear it off.

Once we eat its pretty much gamble, gamble, gamble.
