I'd appreciate some help in choosing which of these properties for my upcoming solo visit...

So far my plans are to attend the solobration get-together at the Peppermill and then the Rivera comedy club, do the get together at NYNY and (if I can secure the reward on myVegas) go to Ka at MGM.
I think I want to do some gaming at V/P & also go see the Pinball Hall of Fame. Other than those events I plan on playing some slots, some VP and some BJ & Pai Gow. I don't care about food so the restaurant choices don't matter much. But I do like good cocktail service while I am playing. Distance to each property is a non-issue I like to walk.
Cosmo sent me 2 free nights & $75 for the third night. Mirage & Monte Carlo would be comped.

Which Property do you all think would be a better choice? I haven't stayed at any of those & my last solo trip was at the Encore.

    TIA!

    1. Cosmo is the newest and hippest. If under 40, top choice
    2. Mirage is very nice, a little more laid back and not as updated. I enjoy the overall vibe here
    3. I hate Monte Carlo. Would not stay there even with full comp.

I've never stayed at Cosmo. I've stayed at MC and Mirage. I think if both are free, you've got to go with Mirage. I know I did.

True, free is hard to beat.

I love the vibe at the Cosmo - even though I am actually over 40 :evillaugh How would you say it compares with the Mirage? Folks seem to either love or hate the MC

Cosmo, but upgrade to a room with a terrace. Great views and your own outdoor space!

If you refuse to pay for the upgrade, then Mirage.

MC isn't that bad, but definitely 3rd on this list.

I've stayed at MC and Mirage, and Mirage >> MC by a mile. MC is a cheesy mall IMO. I've never stayed at Cosmo but am not a fan of the vibe there. But the location of Cosmo is great. The Mirage location is good because you have Venetian/Palazzo/Wynn/Encore close by. To me, if Cosmo's location is better for you then go for it. You said you like the vibe at Cosmo, then I say go for it. The $75 for one night at a place you enjoy is worth it.

If it were ME, and I'm as frugal as they come, I'd pay the 3rd night for Cosmo. Love it there, cocktail service and quality is top notch. Mirage would be my 2nd choice as well, although they do have tiny bathrooms!

If you don't mind moving, maybe the player's club will let you do two nights free at Cosmo and one night at Mirage/MC and give you the opportunity to check out a couple of new properties.

    I'm with Reston

Cosmo is AMAZING--the other 2 aren't in the same league (tho fine to stay)...
We typically stay comped at Harrahs or Ballys. Got an amazing Cybermonday deal at Cosmo--WOW. We are hooked, and will occasionally pay, it was worth it.
DO get a terrace & fountain view, even if it is a few $ more...again, worth it. I typically am rarely in a room in Vegas, but we really really loved the balcony--morning & night!
You can always stay at MC or Mirage--take the Cosmo deal.

You're right. You are so right - I hadn't thought about that aspect.

Thanks all - Cosmo it is!

Cosmo is clearly the nicest. If not that Mirage for sure, Monte Carlo is boring and outdated I wouldn't choose that.

Cosmo or Mirage. Casino in MC is kind of boring, although the customer service there is awesome.

I don't understand why people keep bashing MC. I never stayed there, but I do most of my gambling there due to great BJ rules. It is a very elegant casino in my opinion. Of course I do like Mirage, MGM Grand better than MC due to their liveliness, yet still MC is a very nice place to hangout. I believe it's much much better than Luxor, Excalibur and NYNY. And if you consider the location, I'd pick MC over Mandalay Bay as well.

Coming to your question, in this list, and based on your situation, I'd go, Mirage > Cosmo > MC. I stayed at Mirage and the rooms were recently upgraded. Somewhat small rooms, but very nicely decorated. Casino is always lively and the location is pretty good. You are right in between Bellagio and Wynn, so you can handle both north strip and mid strip on foot.

Cosmo seems a little too non-Vegas to me. I mean Bellagio and Wynn are also upscale, but in a Vegas-feel way. They blend in well with the city. Cosmo seems like an alienated hotel to me in the middle of the desert. Maybe it's no coincidence that it's the only one, owned by an investment bank rather than a casino operator.

U should be, that suite is super nice and a lot bigger then the 1 bedroom and studio terrace. Another plus is that all the terrace suites is facing the B fountain.

    Cosmo in a heartbeat!

Best location on the strip, imo plus terrace view.

It crushes Mirage and MC by a ton!

It's very lively, bridges to PH and Aria (then through to MC), and you're next to Bellagio.

Even if you don't wanna walk, the Deuce stops right out front between Cosmo and Bellagio.

You scored! Cosmo would be my first choice of the three, followed by Monte Carlo. I just don't like the vibe at Mirage. Never have.

Oh, well. You made out like a bandit, so good on you!

    MC "elegant"?

Wow, that is the first time I have EVER heard that. Bellagio? elegant. MC? meh..
MC is OK....nothing special, drab & boring, imo. Nothing wrong with it, and it is usually priced very well.
(MBay is much nicer, rooms, casino, & pool, but loses points for location)
Again, nothing wrong w/ MC...but not even the same league as Cosmo!!!!
    Having stayed at all 3...
    Cosmo #1 by a landslide.
    Mirage #2 but not close
MC #3--wouldn't even consider it with these 2.
(but yep, better than Excal, Luxor & NYNY--although I prefer NYNY casino)
