Dinner for large group, ages 1-86, suggestions?

Our large group consists of four generations. There are twelve kids between 1 to 9-ish, and sixteen adults including a very healthy 86 yr old. Most of us are staying at Bally's, one family of six is staying at Circus Circus. We'd like to have dinner together at least one night and I need suggestions. We have cars but one vehicle may have to do two trips if we need to drive anywhere.

No preference as to table service or buffet but a nice variety would be great. And if we can all be seat at one huge table, even better! Under $12 pp would be great since some of the older adults will most likely be "stuck" paying for their kids and grand-kids.

Any and all suggestions are welcome!

 

I'd say your best bet would be a buffet, that way everyone can eat something they like. I have no idea though which one would average $12pp, I know someone else would have the answer to that.

 

I would suggest a buffet since there are a wide variety of ages and therefore, food preferences.

The only place I could think of that would come close to accomodating 28 people would be Main St. Station Garden Court Buffet. There is a row of long tables that can seat 12 or so per table so 2 tables together would work, I guess.

The MSS buffet offers lots of different food dishes ranging from American, Italian, and Asian cuisines. The Pizza offered will be appreciated by both the kids and adults alike. Everyone will love the desserts.

Free parking either across the property or adjacent toward the rear of the casino.

All other buffets and restraurants have tables that seat 2 thru 6 which would mean you all would be scattered all over the place...

 

We rented a private area once at the Excalibur buffet that seated at least 20 of us last summer.

 

A couple of times we had about 50 in our group at MSS buffet. You have to make prior arrangements and they will set up one or two long tables. If you book MSS, be aware that there will be a service/tip charge for groups over a certain number. I think it was 9 and the charge is 17-18 percent. Preferably, one person collects for all and pay before entering. Also, there are specialty nights so you may want to avoid those days. If you do lunch, meal and tip would probably be under 10 dollars per person. Lunch is not served on the weekends (Brunch time)

I like Grand Lux at Palazzo and Venetian for groups. Huge selection to satisfy a wide variety of tastes and budgets. They can accomodate groups easily too.

 

I think MSS might fit the bill, it's inexpensive & has variety. Now to nail down a date so we can try and reserve a couple of long tables! We were planning to spend a few hours in DT anyway so it'll fit in own plans! Thank you so much all!
