Five day trip to LV coming up in a few weeks, and I'm trying to decide on which shows to see for the wife and I. (We leave on the fifth day, in the evening)

I have it narrowed down to the following:

    Le Reve

    Carrot Top

    Absinthe

I think three shows in four days would be a bit excessive, especially with all of the other things on our itinerary (thanks to you fine folks).

Carrot Top is a must-see for us, so really it's down to the other two.

Any thoughts on which show you'd pick and why would be greatly appreciated!

    Can't comment on Le Reve.

Absinthe is awesome, but go in expecting colourful language, and some off-colour and sex related humour. If that is not your thing (or your wife's), it might not be appropriate. If it is, you'll find it hilarious.

Absinthe hands down!! It's one of the funniest and jaw dropping experiences ever! If you can handle humor that offends all race/gender then you will absolutely love Absinthe.

And Carrot Top was ridiculously funny.

They are three of my faves. I almost always see one show per night, sometimes two. If you can fit them in and Vegas trips aren't that frequent, it's unlikely that you'd regret it.

Sam, just curious, did you ever try to do two seperate Cirque shows in one night? It always seems like they are spaced barely two hours apart in some cases, and I was always concerned if I bought tickets for two shows I would end up missing part of the second!

No, Cirques weren't in the two-fer......you're right, it would be difficult. I've done LOVE then scooted across the street for Divas, and have gone from Terry Fator to Le Reve (tricky). I would think you'd be able to do "O" and "LOVE" or "Zumanity" the easiest.

La Reve and Absinthe might be my two favorite Vegas shows. You really can't go wrong. Keep in mind however, that these shows are on completely opposite sides of the spectrum. If you are in the mood for a raunchy, hilarious show with unique acts, choose Absinthe. If you are in the mood for an intimate, one-of-a-kind water show with acrobatics, awesome costumes and imagery, choose La Reve. Good luck and have fun!

Haven't seen Absinthe yet, but wife and I have seen Le Reve 3 times. We really enjoy it.

Would never do two Cirq shows in one night. In fact, it would be rare I would do more than one show in any night. The mind and body do not cooperate.
