    Hey all,

Looking at maybe shooting some guns. There seems to be various places to do it eg) Gun Club, MGV ect.

Where have you gone? What have you shot? What woudl you recommend?

    Budget between $100-$150 pp.

$100-$150 pp is going to be just a tease.

You need to know which place has what items to determine your options.
Make sure you get coupons as most have them in those little books.

The one item I strongly recommend you bring is a very good video camera.

The Gun Store is the best in Vegas I've found. Also, $150 will go by in about 2-5 minutes, its just soooooo much fun!

I looked at prices at some of those gun places before and I couldn't believe the insane amount of money they charge for that. Sure makes me appreciate the 30 min drive me and my friends make to the mountains and shoot the same guns (except for the fully autos) for 1/16 of the price.

I went to the Gun Store in February. I shot 25 rounds on AK-47, plus 20 rounds on a 9MM Beretta for $75. This was my second time there a couple years ago I only shot the AK-47. It doesn't take long, so try to be gentle on the trigger.
They have loads of package deals if you care to shoot more.

I've shot an M4, AK47, MP5 and M249 (all full auto) at MGV . Not cheap, but a lot of fun. If you go on a weekend get there early, or you will wait awhile.

Having shot pretty much every weapon there is, if you're only going to pick one I'd go with the 249. The AK shoots like a brick and the M4 isn't a full auto.

The 249 is unlike anything you'll get a chance to shoot anywhere else. Unless they've got an M240...then you should shoot that. But I doubt they have it. The M240 is the modern day version of the old M60.

Went to MGV year and it was it lot of fun, I chose the Navy Seal package which included handgun, rifle and machine gun.
We got a taxi there and we didn't know that if you ring them they will pick you up and drop you back at your hotel, and you get a free t shirt with whatever package you have.

I just booked the Sohoting Safari place outside of Vegas. It looks a little more interesting than simply burning through a lot of ammo making noise. They have a "Shooting throughHistory" package that looks pretty cool

If you are not looking for exotic or machine guns continue reading otherwise stop.

If you want to shoot a .22 pistol, rifle or clay shoot 16 or 20 gauge shotguns CHEAP, practically unlimited amounts of ammo, then head north to clark county shooting range. I think it's a $7 admission, $10/$20 gun rental, and $3.75 for brick of .22 ammo. It's also $6 for a box of clay pigeons, and they will train you on the use of the guns. $100 you can shoot all day.

Call to find out best times and days.

Actually, I am not going. But I will be in vegas with 4 guys who will go on April 12. (The trip to Vegas is primarily golf, but we are taking one day for other activiites. They will go shoot but I would rather spend a whole day to head downtown to play craps.)

I will get a full report and post it when I get back.

Why not go shooting with them. You will probably end up spending less. :wink2:

Im not sure if your aware of todays climate but 22 ammo is some of the hardest to find making it very expensive compared to what it use to be. WHEN it can be found it is about 25-30 for a brick, I just dont see how they could possibly keep it in stock at that price.
