Can you ask the pit boss for a food comp while playing?

I am not new to the comps game - however, the last time I asked for a food comp - it was at the Stardust!!

I generally bet between $50 - $100 per hand of Pai Gow Poker while tipping well (at NYNY / MC) and get upfront offers of 3 nights with about $150 Free Play. I also know that Player's Club/Host can take some off at the end of stay.

So, if you play for four hours, can you ask for a comp right then - to be used that day (even if you have a 3 day stay?).

Any other comps available - ie. high-end alcohol while playing, limo, etc.?

How inconvenient is it for them?

you used to be able to do this all the time, but these days they mostly tell you to use your express comps or charge it to your room. yes, you can ask for high end alcohol while playing. what they are willing to give you depends on many factors including your level of play and the property and how much you tip the CW. limos can be setup by a host and that again just depends on your level of play.

The only at table comp I have gotten was a pack of smokes - 4 years ago. I had jut run out, had been at the table for a while with my brother and said to him, 'time to go. We have to find some smokes'. The dealer told the pit boss who promptly brought me a pack...so we kept playing.

I don't remember what casino, we were playing $5 BJ.

I think I have since asked for a pack once, don't remember where and got told
Where I could buy some. So I left and bought some. Don't remember what i did next.

If you're playing black chip, high end alcohol is definitely something you can ask for and get...depending on how 'high end' you're talking about. Nobody's bringing you a bottle of crystal, but if you want a Macallan 12 you'll probably get it.

The pit boss is generally only handling things right there in his pit these days, so the limo is probably a host question. I used to ask pit bosses for line passes before they went to the colored cards that let you skip buffet lines anyway.

We got this answer at the Mirage after 6 of us played played Pai Gow for 6-7 hours together. The pit critter told us he would get it taken care of and to show them one of our group's player card (would load it up on his card for all 6 of us). The dude lied to us and we ended up having to pay for our meals while the player who should have gotten the points added to his card went to find the guy to give him a piece of his mind. Funny... the guy must have just gotten off shift, as he was no where to be found.

when i'm stayed at a cet property and was playing at an mgm property, after some time at the table i'll ask for a buffet or food comp and they usually give it to me.

this is playing quarter chips at bj with bets ranging from 50-150

Yes. If you ask, usually you shall receive. Casino royale and TI have both given me free supper. TI was average. Royale was at the Outback.

Usually if your in the high limit room at a property that is desperate for action, or you are betting black, they will give you some expensive alcohol or whatever you want. The more desperate properties tend to be nicer about this type of stuff.

I was at NYNY and they fed my whole party and gave us some Johnny Walker Blue while I was at the table, without using my express comps. I also was at Luxor and they did the same thing.

When I asked at Mandalay Bay they said no, and so did Bellagio. The MGM Grand actually serves MaCallan 25 in their high limit room so that's always nice because you don't need a comp. That stuff is smooooooth. Not sure who Mandalay thinks they are cause their property ain't what it use to be.

So to answer your question, in my experience it depends on the property. The more your action stands out in relation to their usual players, the more you will get from the pit critter. It never hurts to ask.

While I was on a hot streak at the Wynn craps table, I got ready to leave for dinner at Stripsteak at Mandalay Bay. The pit boss asked me why I was leaving and I told him that I was going to dinner. He offered to comp me and my buddy dinner at SW Steakhouse, which I accepted.

However, it did not work out as I had hoped. I continued to drink at the craps table and I ended up passed out in the bathroom after throwing up. My buddy had a nice time on my comp though.

I've never been turned down for a line pass. It's free. Comps that are free are easy to get. I haven't done it in a couple years because I play at MGM and now it comes with your card...but it was always the easiest comp.

That is not the case at CET which the poster asked about because they always wanted to make sure line cutting is a privilege for higher tiers or for people who buy line passes. If they gave them out to all the small players like MGM used to the privilege for their higher tiers wouldn't be worth much. Trust me -- MGM is doing the same now or will change how easy they hand out line passes to small players now that they have a tier program as well.
