I just found out about the game a couple weeks ago. Curious how long it has been existence? Just trying to gauge whether it will be around for years to come, or if it is still "unproven" in terms of its value to MGM.

since maybe around June or July of last year.
it seems to have grown tremendously in popularity, especially lately, and they're really pushing the advertising for it.

I know I am in the minority but I don't think it can remain around too long. How long is anyone's guess but the numbers just don't add up for it to keep going the way it has been. If you just do a quick calculation as to how many players there are and how many Loyalty Points have already been earned and not cashed in, I don't see how MGM can continue to fulfill all the requests. In the next few months as the summer travel season takes off and players have earned a ton of points, it should really stress their system. As it is now you have to be on the computer exactly when the rewards are stocked to have any chance of receiving the most popular rewards. Then you have to continually refresh for 10-15 minutes hoping you are one of the lucky ones.

I have played the game for many months and have received some excellent rewards but just since I started I have seen how the game has evolved. Tighter rules, more players along with more difficulty in obtaining rewards. I am NOT saying that you shouldn't play the game, just be realistic in your expectations and hope for at least one good reward for your trip. Good luck to all.

We are all wondering how long the game will last.

But I think we tend to overrate what providing these rewards costs mLIFE. Most of its hotel room rewards are on the cheap nights (Sun-Thurs), which seldom have 100% occupancy, so the cost is basically on maid service for one room.

More importantly, all these rewards are given with the assumption that many players will not just cash the free stuff. You might give them the free wednesday-thursday room, but then they pay friday-saturday.

Show tickets are similar. Unless its a sold out performance, there is little cost involved.

The food rewards are the most costly. But even for them, the comped price is far above the cost. And many are dollar value comps, where the diner will spend overtop of the comp..

I don't know if the numbers make long term sense, and could certainly see rewards continue to get more expensive, but this is not costing MGM resorts a fortune, and they are driving a lot of people to their casinos and their players clubs, getting info on the type of games people respond to, and advertising their hotels, their restaurants, and their shows.

To me, the bigger longevity questions are "can they keep bringing in new people?" and "how many people will keep playing over multiple trips?".
