typing this just as the second half of michigan-michigan state starting, the big 10 is really something this year. came home from out trip with 4 10 dollars tickets on the ncaa basketball championship in my billfold. duke at 5-1 michigan state at 20-1 kansas state at 60-1 georgetown at 60-1 go hoyas!
when i bought the last tickets, g-town and k- state, the zags were at about 4/1, in the same range as indiana and florida. i had bought duke earlier, never going to rule coach k out...same thoughts with izzo. odds had just dropped too low on the zags to take a shot.
wow, i was looking good until they started playing the tournament. now, i know i will have one team in the elite 8,because my two remaining teams, duke and michigan state play each other, for the dubious chance to then play probably louisville for the seat in the final four. still, it was worth the little i spent on tickets to think about the possible payoffs.
