If they hire a 19 year old JUCO student for six weeks during summer vacation, the Detroit boys can develop and roll out an on-line comp rewards website superior to sites hosted by MGM & Cosmo.

I think I may have misunderstood the question. I thought he was asking if the casinos share comps in that you could earn points at one but use them in the other. Because you can't do that, they are not connected that way.

I read somewhere and I think it may have been here, that because there are 3 owner's of the Golden Gate and one owner of the D, the gaming license won't let them connect the casinos for player's club purposes. But don't put money on that because I can't find the source now.

I wouldn't be surprised though if you were a good customer, you might phone a host and arrange some sort of deal. They seem to have an agreement on cross tournaments, celebrations, advertising, etc. And I'm pretty sure I've seen the same host at both clubs on the same night. If what I read is true, it might just be legal stuff keeping them apart.

Well the mailers have similar themes, but maybe not exact same tourneys, can't remember.

I will say our limo to the Golden Gate from Cosmo last trip was from "The D", and our Golden Gate host took us to the D himself to meet their host and sign up for players cards.

My host at GG said that although the players clubs are separate, any play I gave at The D, counted toward my stay at GG and vice versa. Here is where it gets weird though. I just wanted to check out the rooms at The D last trip even though I had a suite at The Plaza. So, I had my host at GG make me a reservation at The D, double booking with The Plaza for 2 nights. When i got to The D to check in, they didnt have my reservation. I told them that my host made it and gave them her name. The folks at the front desk said they never heard of her. I said she has worked at GG for several years and would they call over to the hosts over at GG to verify that she made my comp reservation. The guy behind the counter said, "no, you will have to do that". I said so, "yall invited me to stay here, then lost my reservation, and you are going to make me walk all the way down to GG and hunt down my host"? He said, "yes". I said "not going to happen", and just left. My host probably thinks I no showed, so I sent her an email explaining what happened when I got back home but she never responded. So, there may be some co-ordination issues going on between The D and GG.

You are correct. I spoke with Derick Stevens about this after running into him on our last trip.

    Hey Now!
I was talking about the comps between the 2 props. I too noticed that they share contests, etc. I got an offer from GG that I'm thinking about using, but plan on playing mostly ay the D, as I play VP..
    I appreciate all y'alls input!!
