My wife and I are about to take our first trip to Tunica and are really looking forward to it. We have heard some conflicting times as to when alcohol service is stopped at night...does anyone know for sure when last call is in Tunica??
Also any good tips as to places to play or fun things to do would be appreciated too....want to get the most out of our few days there. Thanks for any help!

Indulge all you like, but preferably without driving from casino to casino. And if you are driving be careful for other drunks on the road particularly at night. Tunica speed limits are generally 55 MPH and can lead to big trouble. Once we saw a guy driving that was so plastered he was across the double yellow line. :(

I'll likely be there on St. Patty's Day thru the 20th gambling at the Tunica Roadhouse (best casino by far for video poker) and getting quite drunk!

and the blue and white cafe inside the tunica city limits is good
ballys was better than expected for a good time and lots of fun , try there
harrahs casino did nothing for me .....
gold strike and Horseshoe are good choices
sams town is my personal favorite , very nice place with good craps tables

Thanks to everyone for your help and good suggestions! Really looking forward to going for some VP and some 3-Card.....hope to have some good luck. As far as the driving goes we're talking one of those Harrah's charter flights with transportation so not planning on doing any driving! Thanks again!

If that's the case, make sure you bother to take the shuttle from Harrah's to Horseshoe at least to visit Gold Strike/Horseshoe/Roadhouse (all within walking distance) and see them. Especially if you are serious about live poker (Horseshoe) or want good video poker paytables (Roadhouse). Harrah's only has full-pay video poker at the 50c level or higher and no games above 99.7% return.

The Roadhouse, on the other hand, has the highest video poker paytables in the Mid-South with five games that return at least 99.9% (including 40/10/6 DDB at 99.96%) with perfect play and they are all available for as cheap as quarters. I also feel like drink service at Roadhouse is a bit quicker as well. And even better news, it's still a CET property. All this being said, I would still play 3-card poker mostly at Harrah's though because those rules are the same everywhere, and you definitely want to play a decent chunk at the casino that flew you out/housed you there.

But be forewarned that on weekdays the shuttle stops running around 10:30PM, so you have to shuttle back to Harrah's before then unless you plan to gamble all night!

I stayed at the Sheraton Casino about 6-7 years back, was alot of fun. We drove around to all the casinos and it was something we really enjoyed! Sams Town was really neat, as was Hollywood Casino! Hollywood is the only place I have ever seen the Love Boat slot machine, was really fun to play!
