It's not cheating if it is "Just the Tip"

well hell my flight is delayed and this seems as fun a topic as any.

While I'm happily married and too old, fat and lazy to do anything but gamble and drink in Vegas, I assume some people arrive with ulterior motives, or obtain them via alcohol during their stay.

For those "friends of ours" what rule constitutes moral terpitude in the form of cheating? Which rule do you think applies?

Some I've heard:

It's not cheating if its just the tip.
Outside of state borders doesn't count.
"he didn't even cum inside her (she's grossed out by Sea Men)"
even thinking about another woman is cheating
ordering 24 hour porn is cheating
its not cheating if you pay for it


not for yourself obviously, but if you had a buddy in a dangerous situation....where would you draw the line for him?

 

Any purposeful sexual contact with another person is cheating.

Simple.

 

Purposeless sex OK. Check.

 

Touching with intent is cheating. Or at least a place I wouldn't want MY husband to go. Looking is fine (strip club or bikinis at the pool), flirting (if it's harmless) with the cocktail waitress is fine. Actually, that's sort of where I draw the line. More than that would bother me, and more than that I certainly would never do.

 

It's not cheating..... if it's something Wife won't do......

 

Sexual contact not sex.

 

the international date line was always my marker.

On the other side of it you can basically do what you want.

 

It's cheating when it's something you wouldn't tell your spouse about.

 

Purposeless sexual contact is OK. Check.

 

I think Beeej summed it up for most of us, as he can do with his particular blend of wit and eloquence. Monogamy appears to be the general standard.

But the bottom line is it only really matters to two people -- the couple -- and none of us as outside observers, and what works for them. Some will aver their a socio-cultural mandate for right and wrong in this instance, but that's just so much hooey. "Infidelity," whatever that is, is not murder, for instance.

actually ended up catching an earlier flight that was delayed and got out of the airport early so didn't get to enjoy this thread til now.

i think its a very individual deal. some people are more liberal, the vast majority are super conservative. just speaking for people i know.

i honestly don't see where people get the energy to do any of it. if i have time in a bed without my wife? I'm sleeping. :evillaugh Then again I don't get a lot of hot chicks on my jock so its kind of irrelevant.

Now a playa like Macker, he could make a wilt chamberlain-esque career on just gaggles throwaways and sloppy seconds......(gaggles current gf excluded cause she is an angel and a dream gf).

 

If you paid a resort fee for the room, its not cheating, its an "amenity".

If I counted Gaggles GFs just by trip reports, he would be beating George Clooney in the number of different women youve been photographed in Vegas with. Of course back in my young funkhouser days, when I liked women more than beer, I got more tail than a US Navy tailhook convention. In fact, come to think of it, I have a really good story about an encounter with some RCAF chicks I partied with up at CFB Wainwright in Alberta, those military trailer park girls really know how to have a good time Tip or more than the Tip!

because I know where the lines are and its much easier if I don't have to remember what lies I'm telling - I'm too old to remember that crap anyway.

additionally - its good advice to give someone else. If they have different boundries in their relationship then thats up to them to deal with it - not for me to be ordering them what to do , nor to judge them.

and if they do have different ideas of what ok then I'll keep my (dis)approval to myself.
