So in my ongoing saga of booking I am lookign at lots of options.

My brother asked for time off work. His boss took 2 weeks in responding. The initial response was neither a 'yes' nor a 'no. So we decided that we would put forward a second set of dates and my brother would ask his boss 'which dates work better?'.

Brother goes to work (Monday, 2 days ago)...boss is gone till Friday? (Boss is gone till Friday and if we don't book before that CET is going to hit us with resort fees, is his boss working for CET?

So I have a reservation for those days at Bally's, which I can cancel if I need to.

I only want to spend $400 total, taxes, charges ect (my Bally's booking is for $433 so that's the limit I want).

    I'm early 30's, brother late 20's.

    - on the Strip
    -Want a pool.
-Not concerned abotu food choices (using My Vegas rewards -which I plan to book once we have our dates nailed down).
    - We will probably casino hop a bit so that isn't a factor either.
    - It doesn't have to be CET (we don't have an M-Life or others player card yet...but we can).

Suggestions of hotels for May 23-27 for $400 total with a good pool?

Unless somebody looks up rates for those dates, nobody would know what hotels would give you $400 for those specific dates.

Find what works for you and book it NOW before they slap on the resort fee. You can always cancel.

Ballys is great as to location. Paris or PH would also work. Pick what seems to be a good price.

I have Ballys booked already. The reason that I am looking for other options Is because we're hoping to book now by Friday and possibly looking at doing a package deal through allegiant. We're also looking at maybe booking flights only. However we do the package we can't cancel a package if we do flights alone we can cancel flights alone and then out on the hotel, So I'm looking for suggestions where people have stayed over a weekend that would probably come to $400

That's not just "any" weekend - that's Memorial Day weekend. So all hotel prices will be higher than you would see for a non- holiday weekend. You are probably better off keeping the reservation you have.

I can't speak to Luxor, but I've done Bally's and Excalibur. Bally's is better IMO. The location is more centralized and I didn't care for the dated fixtures in the Excalibur room. I was in the older tower, and it just felt...too old and yucky. (I ended up leaving Excal and moved to the Wynn if that tells you anything about me/my preferences/expectations.) Now, with it being memorial day weekend, I don't know if the 20 dolla holla is going to do you much good, but its worth a shot to get into the nicer north tower rooms. Bally's is not the equivalent of the Wynn by any stretch, but I would walk around the room in my socks there....at Excalibur, not so much!

I originally had Harris for that weekend but after looking at pool photos I change the Ballys.

I just did a quick look, and there is really nothing! I went around then last year and everything was expensive, we ended up bidding on Priceline, still wasn't cheap. I'd just keep what you have, you can always keep looking.

Thanks guys for the info question as a read more about Bally's were booked in for the south tower 2 Queens. I understand the north tower is supposed to be nicer rooms, But the Southtower overlooks the strip... And maybe the fountains of Bellagio?

My thought is if this Southtower room I can get faces the Fountains of Bellagio Buttermore dated than the north Tower rooms. If I can get a Southtower room that faces the fountains is that a better deal than a north tower room that doesn't face the fountains but is newly renovated?

    I have Southtower booked.
