OK, I am not a slot player so this may sounds like a real dumb question, but I am trying to find out if there is a fishing slot game anywhere on the Vegas strip?

Just got back from a weekend trip to Tunica and while there, my gf fell in love with this big slot game that involved fishing. I have no idea the name of the game, but it was a big machine with six seats and three bg screens above each player's slot machine. The bonus rounds involved each player's character trying to fish for different sized fish on the three big screens above the slots. Anybody know the name of this machine (for other Tunica lovers, its at the Goldstrike right across from the craps pit and mini-bac tables).

Also, does anyone know if any of the casinos in Vegas have the same game? Thanks

The original game was called "Reel 'Em In" .... but I have seen another that was similar with a different name, which I can't remember.

You are thinking of "Paradise Fishing". My wife got hooked on this game (pun intended)

It is extremely popular and you shouldn't have any problem finding it in Vegas.

There was a fishing game at MGM. directly across from the cashiers... to the left of the bar. I remember we cound hear it from the let it ride tables.

I'm not sure if it was paradise fishing or a variation of reel em in.

You can't miss it at MB, if there is no one playing it, every 8 seconds it screams out
"PARADISE FISHING BY ARUZE!!!" That game really interrupts my playing of Buffalo!

Where are the Clue machines? I know where the tables, sportsbook, and other stuff is at MB, but I have no idea where different slot machines are located

I've played this fishing game and in the big bonus section when you 'play' your fishing rod, I wonder if you are really doing anything or not. I'd bet there is a good chance to still catch fish if you don't even touch your fishing rod.

I suspect that you cannot influence the fish you catch with your "rod" because of the fact that any gaming machine in Nevada cannot have a payout determined by the user's "skill" - but only by "chance".

I heard about this rule a while back but have come across several games like this one which appear to have a "skill" element - leading me to wonder the same thing. If that rule really exists (I think so), then the appearance of a "skill component" to the game has to be faked somehow....

I played a large Wheel of Fortune slot where the bonus game was solving a puzzle. You certainly could influence the amount won by knowing how to solve the puzzle as you got a large payout for picking more letters.

You know I think you may be right...

I was not sure about this "rule" but had heard that a while back and assumed it was the "law". I just did some research and came upon this article -

    www.casinocenter.com/the-skill-factor/

which indicated that there is no real restriction on either mental acuity or physical skill being applied to determine your payout. Indeed, more skill-based slot machines may be coming according to the article.

It gave an example of the Battleship game - where a random number generator determines the amounts to be found, but by applying your skill at reasoning you are able to uncover the bonuses....

[by the way, the link to that site above was broken and I could only read the article by viewing it in the cache on Google. Didn't want to copy it here due to copyright issues... but if you want to see it, google it and then click on the cache of the article]

Paradise Fishing is really easy to find off strip and downtown. It's hard to stay away from it!

Right by the noodle restaurant and the cafe in Mandalay Bay, you can't miss them.

Paradise Fishing and Reel 'em In (I prefer Reel 'em In).

All over Vegas. Downtown and on the strip.
