Going to Vegas May Long (16-20).

All the cheap craps places that I am aware of (on the strip are gone), eg) Slots of Fun, Bills.

I don't care which casino brand it is, but are there any $5 craps to be found in the evenings Friday - Sunday?

Casino Royale is generally $3 but if it is NCAA tourney weekend, you won't see $3 craps. You can quite often find $5 tables at the lower end casinos Excalibur, Hooters, etc. Another chance for $5 craps is to go to the mid-tier casinos (MGM, Mirage, etc) when they are opening up more tables for the evening. You'll often find one table at $5 where they are trying to get some action and then they immediately bump it up to $10 but you'll be grandfathered in at $5.

Harrahs and Ballys have $5 dollar games during the day but not at night.

How do you find this, or is it just luck of the draw?

I've never seen it happen and I'm a degenerate craps player who stays in those hotels. $5 in the evening at either of those places...I'm not saying it's never happened, but I wouldn't make a trip there expecting to find it.

You will have better luck during the day. I know that during the day, PH has it, even on weekends. At nights, late afternoon, it increases the min.

During the day I've seen it at Monte Carlo, NYNY, MGM Grand, Excalibur, Luxor, MB, and PH..... I even saw it at Aria on a Monday morning this past year....they usually have 2 tables of $10 during peak night hours as well.

It was probably just luck of the draw but it has happened to me a few times. The craps area was pretty slow at the Mirage around 4-5pm and they just opened up a couple new tables that didn't have anybody rolling. Checked out the limits and one was at $5. Literally, right after buying in they upped it to $10.

The other time I've seen them do the $5 opening thing on tables is in the morning, right after they give a craps lesson. They open that table at $5 for the people who just took the class. Personally, I avoid that table like the plague, but it's a way you could get into a $5 game if that's what you wanted. You could call a casino and ask them if/when they had craps lessons, then show up for the very end of it.

Of the places left on the strip, Excalibur, Imperial/Quad, and Casino Royale are your best bets. Osheas and Barbary Coast will be missed. :(

I've seen $5 tables at other places but never at night. You could always head downtown where EVERY table is $5 or less except the Golden Nugget.

Was in Vegas at the beginning of February and there were $5 tables at Flamingo on Saturday night but only had $10 tables on Sunday night. Harrahs was exactly the opposite, $10 on Saturday and $5 on Sunday night. Quad had $5 tables every night of the week.

    $5 on the weekends everywhere

You're not going to find a $3 dollar Craps Table anywhere on the Strip or Downtown on the weekends anymore.

I've seen so many Craps crews just standing there with no takers in the wee hours of the morning, or late at night. It seems to be a collaboration amongst the casinos not to cut their table minimums until the weekdays if at all.

I haven't seen a $3 dollar table at the Casino Royale for years on the weekend.

In the back in the Plaza downtown there is a lone table with a very good game going on all night, $5.

Lately there has been a proliferation of electronic Craps games. The casinos have been test marketing these games. Don't play them unless you want to see table games go the way of the Dodo bird.

I've seen tables run with a crew of two on slow evenings, but normally it takes a crew of at least 4 to run a busy table. Two dealers, a stick man and a box man. That's an hourly expenditure of at least minimum wage plus benefits per employee. If it wasn't for amateurs and dopes the casino wouldn't make any money. The house advantage is 1.44% with correct basic strategy on a pass line bet, with single odds .86% and .66% with double odds.

At $3 minimum they would lose money on a slow table.

I was playing 3$ craps at Casino Royale on the weekend in December, it looked to me from the tables it was 3$ all the time, they have different rules for odds and stuff depending on if you are betting 3 or more on the pass line. http://www.nextshooter.com/vegas

Fremont downtown offers 3 Dollar craps all day every day. right on thier front page 3 dollar craps and blackjack. http://www.fremontcasino.com/

    This this this.

My local spot replaced their traditional roulette table with one that takes bets on a touch screen. I won't be giving that table a dime of my money.

Is the Shoot to Win craps game still popular? I have not been to Vegas since last July. The few times I saw that game it was packed every time I walked by it.
