Is the Mob Museum attraction downtown open and worth seeing?
    Hours and cost per person?

I went in December and enjoyed it. Not sure if I'd pay $20 to go a second time but there's enough there to kill a few hours.

I think it's worth it. My problem was that I've read so many books about the mob and Vegas, much of it was a rehash, but I don't regret going.
    It's very well done.

I went in September. It was worth it, fun and interesting. The videos they showed looked like History Channel repeats.

I was reluctant to go but I actually loved it-so much Vegas history and I'm not a history buff, Vegas or otherwise. I highly recommend a trip there. We spent about 1 1/2 hour there but there's enough there to spend half a day if you're so inclined.

its very interesting, a full museum.

I dont know if I would take a bunch of second graders there because its all about killing and stuff but its very informative and pulls no punches.

Well worth the money and time.

it took me about 2 hours to go through it and I didnt stop to see lots of stuff. i could go again and see all different stuff that I passed up the first time.

Funy that i went with my mom ans she has intimate knowledge of the mob activiy because she worked at an exclusive private school in vages back in the day where the mobsters sent their kids so she met all of them. Oscar and Carolyn goodman basically built the school so she knew them well too.

She is a little old lady but has great stories of going to oscars house for big mob parties and hanging around all of these thugs.

I never heard those stories until we went through the museum and all of a sudden it was like having a private tour guide with me but an insider who actuall knew all the people I was looking at on the walls.

He favorite was Moe Dalitz. said he was just like you would think he is, a full blooded mobster to the core.

    It's worth it.

The amount of information is overwhelming. Would take a good half day to read everything.

That is my concern when my wife and I go in May.

I can picture it now... I read something that contradicts something I saw on TV or online (there wouldn't be any inaccuracies there, right?) and then I get frustrated about what else might not fit into my pre-museum study.

    And I can't wait.

We went in November and really enjoyed it. Do plan on spending 2-3 hours there in order to take in it all.

There is a $1 discount for AAA members. Look through the ads in the Vegas2Go/Las Vegas magazines - there may be a $2 off discount.

    different

You won't see anything like it anywhere else. It is really only worth going if you are interested in the history of the mob. Lots of detail, lots of photos and interesting stories. Could easily spend 2-3 hours there.

    It's most definitely worth it.

Do allow at least 3 hours. No, I am not kidding.

I went last year and would do this again on our next trip and yes it does take up to three hours to go through. Bring your camera as well.

Is the museum somewhat close walking distance from any Downtown casinos? Thanks!

Yes, 5 minutes walk or less from FSE. (Its a couple streets over but they are short blocks). You can see MSS from it.

Any discounts found anywhere (we are not AAA members, nor are we seniors)? Also not a LVA or ACG member.

I am a coupon code junkie, and I haven't found any.
