Is he still doing the autograph thing in town? I want a picture and autograph of a childhood idol. I would guess he has the necessary memorabilia for sale that is suitable for autographing.

I think he's signing at a shop at Mandalay Bay. I used to see signs for him at the Forum shops a while back ago

I saw him on back to back days sitting in Mandalay Bay with nobody in line either time during the summer of 2012. In all honesty, it was pretty awkward to watch one of the greatest baseball players of all-time sitting there, alone, almost feeling like he was begging for someone to stop and let him sign an autograph to the tune of $50 a pop, with zero takers.

Years ago he was sitting at a table in that sports shop near the Coke Bottle Museum near MGM. I guess that must be his job now, huh?

Is he doing this for the money or just to pass time? You'd think he'd be able to find some kind of endorsement that pays more than $50. Has he ever gone bankrupt?

We have seen him a few places just sitting there. Usually by himself. Sort of sad. Actually, very sad.

He is working 22 days in Feb, sitting at that table.

Don't feel too sorry for him, he has a multi million dollar contract to be sitting there looking lonely.

    http://aol.sportingnews.com/mlb/story/2011-06-03/pete-rose-signs-multi-million-dollar-extension-to-sign-autographs-in-las-vegas

The news has yet to be announced in Vegas or in sports memorabilia circles, but Sporting News has learned that Rose has a guaranteed five-year, multimillion-dollar deal to serve as the main attraction in a memorabilia exhibit that is planned to open at the Luxor Hotel & Casino in September.

You should be able to find him in the hall of fame.

Sad to say you wont though.

I have gone from being a rabid BB fan, to just ok if it happens to be on. Maybe pay to see one Brewer game per year now, vs 15-20 in better days. We are going to Spring Training next week, but that is more to escape the snow and cold, rather than my love of BB.

But Pete Rose and what he accomplished is still just amazing and all w/o PEDs. I'm a ~Brewer fan, but watching him play and his love of the game were amazing. He deserves to be in the Hall of Fame, but Selig is an idiot and that is from somebody who lived most of my life in Milwaukee and watched his many DUMB decisions.

Now the game is totally tainted and you have no idea what record is actually valid and accomplished without PEDs.

I walked through one casino, don't remember which one and Rollie Fingers (one of the greatest ever relievers) was sitting there waiting to sign something. Nobody there and it is kind of sad.

Well.....then, why not walk up to the lonely guy
and have some brief chit-chat about current
    point spreads ?
He'd probably know about it !

I did laugh about the sportsbook comment, in fact I was going to say the same thing. BUT- I will say this about him- He never took a play off. He legged everything out, and if you were in his way, he'd knock you on your ass. He did 2 things I doubt we will never see again, the hits record and being a player/manager at same time. He deserves to be in the HOF and if that moron Selig ever gives up commisionership, he will be. Hopefully he will still be alive to see it.

Thank you all for your responses. I will be in town the first week of May. His schedule isn't published that far out but I do know where to find it now. I personally believe he should be in The Hall. " Hits 4256 Steroids 0 "

I know people were joking about the sports book, but we've seen him a few times at the Caesars sports book betting on races. Just seems like a normal guy sitting there with the racing forms.

I was too chicken to go say hello...

Pete Rose should definitely be in the Hall of Fame. That man lived & breathed baseball, and he played hard. I'm a long-time White Sox fan (hate the Cubs), but watched every TV game I could find with the Big Red Machine.
