It would be quicker to tell you what it can't be used for.

Basically, if you can charge it to your room (and you can charge just about anything to your room as long as it's from an MGM property) then you can use your 'resort credit.'

You can charge your meal at any MGM property to your room at any other MGM property. Drinks. Spa services.

Pretty much anything but the gift shop (and that may even be possible...I've just never tried it.)

Ive yet to find a gift shop at an mlife property that accepts express comps/resort credit. They just give you a discount depending on your Tier. Do you know ive been going to vegas at least 4 times a year for years now (with more express comps than i could use) as a platinum member and just on the last morning of my last trip, figured out you could use them for beer at the bars... Normally im always gambling so get em free anyway, but occassionally ive bought one or two just passing thru a casion to monorail or whatver. Geez... Wont make that mistake again!

You can definitely use them on show tickets. I just booked Zarkana and Carrot Top tickets today using my resort credit. Last trip I used some for a Cabana at MGM.

Make sure to check which properties the resort credit is good for. I had a deal for resort credits with Aria, but I mistakenly thought it would be good at any MGM property, and it wasn't.

I had this backfire on me during my last stay. At MGM it wasn't good at Starbucks, the cafe/deli by the sports book, or the gift shop. I was told checking in that is was good except for "retail" then found out the places I went weren't eligible. It also wasn't good across the street when I grabbed some pizza from NYNY

Usually if you're on a comp offer you aren't paying resort fees. Your mileage may vary. There's a sticky thread about it.
