Has anybody used Vrbo to book a place in Vegas?
If so what was your experience?

MGM Signature- How far is it from the strip? How far of a walk to MGM?
    Would you stay there again?

Jockey Club- Nice suites? How long of a walk to the strip?
    Would you stay there again?

    Thanks!

Never stayed at either, but here is what limited info I know:

The Signature is at the back of MGM Grand. I think it connects to the Grand complex in the rear, near the pools and the monorail station. Don't know your definition of near the Strip, but I would call Signature on on-strip property (just with a bit of a hike to the actual street). I am told the rooms are very nice.

Jockey Club! Well, I guess if you want a view of Cosmo parking garage, its the property for you, lol. Never even walked in there, so anyone would have more knowledge than me, but it is tucked away on a postage stamp sized lot between the Cosmo and Bellagio. I think I remember reading that part of the deal with either CityCenter or Cosmo required them to redo the JC lobby. So there's that

We have always done the hotel room in Vegas. But, if you are looking for a different experience, then one of these condos might work for you. If you do a search of JOCKEY here, you will find lots of little reviews of Jockey Club. Lots of people like it for room size, location, and price.

Did JC many times in the past and liked it ( before all the construction around it). The good thing-- ya didnt have to walk through a casino get to your room.
The bad thing-- see above ( LOL)!

Re: signature distance to MGM and strip
Every time I've stayed at the signature it was booked through MGM, and every time I ended up in tower 3. Tower 3 is furthest away from MGM grand, about 8 minute walk through the inside passage way, arriving at the entrance to the convention center. After that you've a few more min to get to the casino, and a few more to get to an exit to walk to either the trop or nyny. I could get from tower 3 to the bridge to nyny in about 15 min, walking quickly in the morning with the casino fairly empty. Ymmv.

When you do arrive at MGM grand you are very close to the monorail, so if you are planning to go farther north on the strip, it can be fairly convenient.

If you want to get to PH, Cosmo, etc., you can exit outside from tower 3, go out the main gate, and walk about 2 blocks north on Harmon to get to that area of the strip, which is closer than walking to MGM grand.

If you do a vrbo that puts you in a different tower, the distances change a bit. It really depends where you think you'll be walking to the most. MGM convention center + restaurants + monorail + center strip = tower 3 booked thru MGM works great. All of MGM grand + south strip = other towers may be better.

Stayed one night at the Jockey Club last August. Room was large, clean and fairly recently remodeled. I did have a stellar view of the gray wall of the Cosmo. One thing I liked is it was relatively quiet in the halls and room.

A few things that are nice, is I did have access to the Cosmo pool and parking at the Cosmo. There is a entrance to the Cosmo casino from the Jockey Club. As far as the walk, if you are in the front tower it is probably a minute, from the back tower two minutes.

The place is comfortable and clean, it looks as though there has been a fair amount of refurbishing done. As noted the room was huge, living room, separate bedroom and two bathrooms. I think this is a mid range room. All in all I had no issues staying there and would again. The price makes this a great value in terms of location and room.

Not sure about the Signature, though from the location and everything else I have heard is it is quite a walk to the casino, let alone to the strip.

Don't forget the Polo Towers, if that is on vrbo.
