...where you could go up levels on the slot machine and save your levels for your next play?

...where you could get symbols/icons that build up towards bonus spins?

    ...where you could do auto-spin?

    Would it be more fun?

They have that with games like: Star Trek, Lord of the Rings, Clue

Do you mean like "Power Spins" in games like: Crescent Moon, Golden Apple, Pirates of the Deep, Lord of the Rings?

Or like the different bonus games in the dual Alice in Wonderland machines?

I don't think auto spin will ever happen in a live casino, though it is certainly available in online casinos.

Two problems I see with live casinos would be:

Players playing multiple machines. Yes, this happens now where sometimes somebody will be playing two machines side by side, but I am talking about a single player playing maybe 5-10 machines at once.
It might sound like the casinos should be fine with this, but the problem would be that it doesn't take many people to tie up a lot of machines and if they are taking up all the hot/new games then other customers could potentially go elsewhere.

Players claiming a mistake, possible lawsuits. The more common problem would likely be people trying to sue the casino or get their money back by claiming they accidentally started the auto play feature or didn't understand it or didn't know how to turn it off or weren't fast enough to turn it off... people in general love to sue other people and look for easy money, and thats often what can be said about gamblers: looking for easy money.

I played "deal or no deal" some time ago in Holland. I don't know if your familiar with those slots but there are several ones besides each other and with one big screen above them. When the bonus round starts everyone plays at the same time. It's kind of like a multi player video game.

IIRC, auto-spin would be illegal, so far. The player has to actually press a button each time a bet is wagered.

I mean games that emulate myVegas games. In the nyc game and the excalibur game, you get symbols (cab-go for the former and a princess-free-spin icon) to build up to getting a bonus. The difference is seeing the symbols lined up on the side makes you want to continue playing until you get the free spins. Though I am yet to see a bonus within a bonus round (extra free spins).

Auto-spin definitely can create a lot of problems though I like the feature.

Clue levels are saved? I have never played it. How does it work?

The first Alice in Wonderland slots are like that (note: not talking about the machines with 5 physical reels, but are actually two video screens side by side when you play).

In those there are symbols that come up on the screen and when you get one it advances a random counter on the top of the machine and when the counter reaches its end its bonus is automatically triggered (there are different bonuses). If you advance any of the counters and leave the machine the counters stay where they are for the next person.

On our trip to Las Vegas last year I was looking out for these because I kept finding them where a lot of the counters were very close to the end.

And there are a few other games like this. There is a series of games where the games have different themes but the top of the system is a big grid (can't remember the name of the system, but they are Winner's Choice machines) and if you trigger the bonus you get to pick three spots on the grid... if you find the treasure you win one of two progressives (minor or major). If somebody picks until there are only 3 spots left and you sit and play the next time the bonus comes up you will win one of the progressives.

Also, the games Gazellions (or maybe its Gazillions?) and Fortune Fantasy are sort of similar: they have progressive spins and each time you get two bonus symbols in a game (its one of those machines where you play 4 games at once) it advances the free game counter for that game (maximum is 50) and if you get all three bonus symbols you get the accumulated free games. If you don't win the free games before leaving the machine they stay so somebody could build up the free spins through alot of play and not hitting them and then somebody could come along and win them.

It saves what rooms you have unlocked.

In the UK we call them fruit machines and they all have mini games and stuff. Here is a typical one:

I have seen autospin ages ago on a few games. No one used it. There are even games now where there are joysticks for respinning. I think they are plenty like video games now. It's part of what hooked me on video slots.
