Yes I called and they have been discontinued! Those things were iconic! Oh well you don't know what you got til it's gone.

Now we'll have to search every web site of every restaurant, casino and bar in Vegas to find those deals.

You might try the Las Vegas Sun entertainment page and there's always groupon and the Amerikan Casino Guide, Lost Wages Advisor and the coupon pages of the local rags to be found in the paper boxes of the locals casinos.

The only ones I ever used were the 2 for 1 buffets at MSS and Fremont. They have the same coupons in the MRB, which I also buy each year, so I'm not affected by the change.

It's sad for people who relied on them though.

It certainly appears that those LVA-MRB coupons can indeed be used on seafood nights, as there are no restrictions on days printed on the front or back. However, it does state that each of those coupons can only be used once ... whereas, the FSE coupons were typically allowed once per quarter.

Back when the Fremont used to be in the LVA book, the seafood night was included. So, I'm assuming it will be the same again. That was an excellent twofer. Glad it's back.

I posted this in a different thread about the FSE coupons. This is the response I received from the GM at MSS when I emailed him how disappointed people were that the program was discontinued.

FSE discontinued the program at the end of October. We have a very liberal comp program for those that enjoy our great buffet. With minimum play someone can get a comp at the buffet. No play no comp as we had many FSE coupon users do. See you soon!

What do they consider "minimum play"?

    Video Poker Player's Club
    $1 Coin-In = 1 Point on Most Video Poker
    Cashback or Freeplay: 1000 Points = $1 (0.1%)
    $3 Coin-In = 1 Point on Better VP
    Cashback or Freeplay: 1000 Points = $1 (0.033%)
    Food Comps = 600 Points = $1 (0.167%)
    Cashback OR Freeplay OR Comps
    Discretionary Comps: Yes
    Marketing Comps: Yes

As most comp questions the answer is it depends. If you play slots or less than full pay video poker, you earn 1 point for each dollar you run through the machine. You need 600 points to equal $1 for food comps. Sometimes the casinos are running an offer where you get half off when paying with your points. Then there are multi point days where you may get 5 times points thus achieving your goal much faster.

By the way, these numbers are for the b-connected club. Table games are a whole different animal. Length of play and amount of bet determines comps. I don't know what is required for table games.

    Thanks.

Doesn't sound "minimal" to me. Thousands of points necessary to get a buffet.

I can see why they dumped the coupon sheet - too many users and not enough gamblers. Guilty as charged myself.

I give them a little play. But mostly go downtown for a cheap meal and a coupon run.

Always used MSS coupon for breakfast and did do so gambling afterwords. Now with no coupons not sure if I will walk down to MSS. I sure did pay for that breakfast in the casino so I'm not losing here am probably winning
