Has anyone figured out the logic behind Mlife offers and linked accounts? Or why they give different offers to linked accounts in the first place?

My girlfriend and I went to Bellagio last year and went from 0 tier credits to Gold during the visit, but mostly because the hotel bill and dining expenses. We're definitely not high rollers (or even mid probably) and only gambled maybe $600-800 between the both of us (exclusively on slots though). I still gambled considerably more than her and paid the trip expenses so I technically got all the tier credits.

Fast forward to spring offers, Bellagio is offering me $100 FP and 3 free nights. Aria upped the same offer by throwing in a free buffet for 2.

But my GF just got an offer from Bellagio for $225 FP, 2 free nights, $100 Mlife resort credit (can that be used for anything BTW?), and 2-for-1 tickets to a show. Huh?! It certainly looks like her offer blows mine away on the surface and I can't see how this makes any sense.

    Any similar experiences or insight?

The resort credit can be used for most anything.

As for the other, don't try to understand it...just book it before it goes away.

Its probably because your girlfriend is much better looking than you and casinos want good looking people to balance out all of us unshaven degenerate gamblers.

Just wondering, in this situation, can each of them book their offers and combine it?

They can't combine them, per se -- but they effectively can by booking back to back "trips" and staying with one another.

I smell a free 5 day trip coming up! Enjoy!

If you both play slots, put all the play on ONE account, not the linked/secondary account.

That way one of you looks like a bigger player, instead of two has-beens!

Doesn't that mean only one of us could play at a time though? Or has anyone tried to get a duplicate card and play both at the same time? I'm just wondering if their system would recognize two different machines with the same player ID playing at the same time.

And I find the longer I stay in Vegas the worse off I am with my losses (statistically at least) so I doubt I'll be booking both offers... But doesn't the fine print prevent back-to-back offers anyway?

    You are showing your "newbie-ness".

Folks play with multiple cards all time. Sometimes two players, sometimes the same player on two machines at once. (yes, some of us are degenerate enough to pump two at a time)

Haha, I've seen the 1 player 2 slot machines thing so many times. Twice the chances to hit it big!

At Palms a few years ago I saw a young guy playing 2 VP slant tops at once. They were $1 denomination and he was playing as fast on both machines as I do on one machine. And I play pretty fast!

I get the idea of people playing max coin, not getting enough action on a game they like so they want to play two. The ones that confuse me are the people playing two machines at min bet. Just play one at 2X...

When I play multiple machines its for the bonus games. Last night at a local casino I was playing two of the same machine for about 30 minutes... the first machine hit the bonus 7 times in the half hour I was playing, while the second only hit it once.

No, you can both have a card for one account and play at the same time. You don't have to be next to eachother and you don't even have to be in the same casino.

But there are some things of note on this:

First, you can't use the same card on games with offsetting wagers, IE: roulette and craps. Thats to prevent things like you betting on "RED" and your friend betting on "BLACK" at the roulette table.

And second is pointplay/freeplay with MLife casinos: if you activate freeplay or pointplay it will appear on whichever card is currently active (in a machine) the longest. So if your friend sits down at a slot machine and puts in the card and starts playing and then you come by about 2 minutes later, sit down and put your machine in the game next to them and activate your freeplay it will show up on their card because it is currently the longest active in the system. To get around this you just need to have them take their card out and then insert it again... easily said if you are in the same casino and playing side by side, but if you are in different places in the casino or even in entirely different casinos then its harder to coordinate that.

With joint accounts they designate one account as the primary and one as the secondary... it sounds like right now your girlfriend is the primary account between the two of you.

Another thing it could be is that your girlfriend could have an actual marketing offer from Bellagio whereas your offer is a corporate offer. In that case corporate offers are always lower than marketing offers.

And it could also be when people say "I still gambled considerably more than her..." that they are mistaken. This is actually two things: first, unless you were actually sitting with her every single time she was gambling you can't say for certain how much she gambled. Secondly, if you sat down at a slot machine and put in $40 and your GF sat down at the same machine next to you and put in $20 and you are both playing at 50 cents per spin and spinning at roughly the same speed; if we fast forward to 30 minutes later and with a bad run of luck your $40 is all gone but your GF still has some credits and she plays for another 20 minutes before her $20 is all gone... in that case SHE gambled more than you. You lost more, but she will have a higher amount of play than you - and the casinos don't really look at your actual losses but instead at your theoretical losses, of which hers will be higher than yours.

Thanks for the info, Auggie. The weird thing is, I think my lesser offer was indeed a Bellagio property offer while hers looks like a corporate offer, which seems to go against everything I've read here. Take a look:

And regarding playing two machines at once, with my luck it would undoubtedly just double my losses instead of my chances to win. ;)

Alright I called and booked my GF's 2-night offer at Aria (which will be my first stay there). I asked if I could combine one of my offers just to get one additional night (not any of the freeplay or buffet pass from my 3-night offer) but they said no.

But I guess I can't complain as it still seems like a really generous offer for our level of play (although we have a tendency to play through any wins we get unless they're huge, which we're still waiting for ;)).

    Lesson learned.

    Don't ask.

Call back and book just YOUR offer and see what happens. Do not mention the other offer.
