Hi everyone, just got back from my trip and had a blast. One of my family friends got really drunk the last night and gave me $500 to play blackjack with him at a $25 table while he played two hands at $100 and I would play one hand going back and forth from $25 and $50 at Bellagio. I got rated for 2 hours at $37 a hand and I made a couple hundred bucks. Would I get any offers? If I called say NYNY and asked for offers would they give them to me? Sorry, I've never gambled on that level before, I'm a $5 to $10 a hand and a $2 slot kind of person. All comments are welcome and appreciated. Thanks!
Probably will not get you much. You might get slightly better corporate offers through mlife if you played for a while, but if two hours was the only rated play you had on a trip, that will not get you anything. Especially since mgm seems to be cutting back on the comps a bit. Sorry
Generally speaking that kind of table action isn't going to get you any serious offers. Especially at Bellagio. If you had actually put the play in at NYNY or Excalibur, you might have seen a mailer, but even then, probably just for a discounted room. Calling a host with that level of play for only 2 hours isn't going to get you anything beyond a casino rate (20% off) for a room and a promise to evaluate your play at the end of the trip.
I'm a $5 table player and I just had offers from 11 different casinos in Vegas with various 2-3 nights comped plus some free play at a few of them so don't let people tell you the comps are gone. I am staying 3 free nights at MSS starting this Thursday and then 2 free nights at the Cosmo starting this coming Sunday and I never spent over $100 in the Cosmo and it was ALL on penny slots to kill some time. I love downtown and comps are better there but I couldn't pass up the chance to stay at the Cosmo in a Terrace Suite for FREE. Just the other day I got a flyer in the mail from NYNY for 2 free nights and $25 free play. I haven't stepped in the place in a year and a half. Go figure. So hang in there and be sure to play with a card everywhere you go.
At $37 per hand in BJ, you will most likely get no comps at Bellagio. Even playing at $100 per hand, it can be difficult to get comped rooms. In addition, you do not have a record of playing. You may get some offers in the mail from NYNY though. If you call a host and ask them to comp your room, they most likely will not. BJ has one of the lowest HA in Vegas.
