I haven't been to the board much since my last trip in Oct ....with Christmas and taxes coming up and all but we have decided we will try for another anniversary trip in May. That led me to check in on the MLife website and see what kind of offers I have since I haven't gotten a mailer or email from them since early fall.

They haven't updated my offers since October....still the same old Oct-Dec offers. WTF? Most days I can't even log in and then when I do I see nothing new. I would expect spring offers to be out soon. Anyone else having the same issues? I'm starting to get ticked and might just book at Wynn or a CET hotel for this next trip instead of dealing with MLife's bullcrap.

I think the last mailing that I received from them was about the same time. I am also used to a lot more offers than what I have currently on the website. Ironically, I probably gambled more last trip than any other trip. And that was in August.

I'm completely disgusted with them. My level of play didn't change but I get little from them now and that website is a joke. I'm sticking with CET, Grazie and a little Treasure Island.

I really can't complain. I have had REALLY good direct offers from Mirage, Bellagio and just got one from Aria in the mail today.

We were still getting great offers....up until this last trip...and actually my husband went in Sept...I went in Oct..both 2 day trips. They saw the same play from us as if we went together in one visit...maybe even more. That made 3 MLife stays and plays in 2012..even more than we had been going in the past 3 or so years. It's like they fell off the face of the earth and I haven't heard anything from them since.

Picture this in your mind if you will.....

.....in a hot tub time machine near you.....

Jim Murren, Steve Wynn, Sheldon Adelson and Gary Loveman drop their trunks, and slither into the foamy water.....

As Jim pulls out the Astroglide, he turns to Gary with a glimmer in his eye :wink2:, and he says:

"Hey, instead of fucking each other up the ass, what do you guys say we lube up our players instead and bend them over?"

    Gary: "Great idea, I'm in!"
Sheldon: "Doesn't feel like your in"
Steve: "I can't even see that thing"

......anyway you get the picture. All the big boys have "independently concluded" at the exact same time that comps as we know them have to end, and for a kicker they are changing all the odds to compete with the cruise ships.

    Vegas=ruined.

I am a little disgruntled with mlife as well. My last trip, I put in around 185k tier credits, which is not huge, but it is something.

Looking at my offers for a trip we are planning in May and Wynn (who I have played at, umm, I think I ran some money through a VP machine for 20 minutes for a free drink, and craps once?) is offering me 108-120/night. Aria/Bellagio is offering me somewhere right around double that.

My last trip we tended to gamble all over, not realizing that the system was weighted to the properties you are at most, but still the majority was at Aria and Bellagio. I am not expecting 5 nights in a skysuite comped at my level of play, or even really too much free... It would be nice to have a hotel rate that isn't just 20% off rack rate, though.

Well, I was there 7 nights, so that might have hurt us. The only thing I played was video poker. Whenever we played craps we bet too low for them to rate us, haha. I was going to look at my win/loss statement, however the fine folks at mlife.com have it going to a big error screen. Congrats again mlife! :)

Well ok then. That was a very vivid and disturbing image...good thing I haven't started my lunch yet. :vomit:

Yes, it seems as tho this will be the trend. I did call the MLife number.....starting with the Mirage to check on what I have. They said I had a one night comp for the month of May. My other nights' rates were ridiculous so we won't be staying there. Tonight when I have more time to sit on the phone and "hold for an operator" I will call the rest of them to see what they have to offer me. Sounds like they just haven't been keeping up with their MLife website. The guy in charge of that should be fired! I don't currently have any comps with CET (we HAVE to go over a weekend due to work obligations) but maybe something else will come up before then.

    M Life Offers

Well I don't know what I am doing right, I am a very low roller, we go to Vegas once a year, this year staying for 3 weeks and I get e-mail offers from all MGM resorts just about every day. We are comped for 5 nights at Monte Carlo plus $100.00 FB on this trip, then the rest of our time will be at Polo Towers, I have rec'd offers from Bellagio for 3 nights and $150.00 FP, so I am not complaining, they can keep them coming, for the last few years I have been able to take advantage of their offers and I think it is great.

My mlife offers haven't been great, but they're not awful: fall/winter was $100 FP + 3 nights in a luxor tower room, Spring is $75 FP and 3 nights in a luxor premier suite, as well as 2 nights in a grand room at MGM.

My play hasn't been overwhelming, and I don't play tables or machines exclusively which by all accounts causes corporate to short your offers. Since they are offering free play, I think my offers must be based on my machine play, which is probably only 15% or so of my total (basically just a few hundred into Lion's Share).

I racked up a total of a little more than 200k tier credits over the mlife year, and pretty much all of that was gambling rather than resort spend.

For those with crappy offers, have you tried getting more out of a host? And what was the response? I have yet to have my host at the Luxor turn down any of my requests for rooms, food, tickets, etc. but they are modest and, well, it's the Luxor.

tried hosts at all the properties, useless, just regergitated the online offers.

I just went on mlife and found Aria for $159/night. Could get same room for $140/night anonymously off their website.

I don't believe its some grand conspiracy, just a bad combination of incompetence and cost cutting.

Service at MGM's has fallen off anyway and I can afford to stay wherever I want. I won't give MGM Resorts another thought, except to warn others not to waste their play on them.

Is there a better place to play blackjack? I suppose they're all the same at $100/hand and up, but below that MGM has by far the best rules - and Express Comps still beat the hell out of the nothing you get from Red Card and Grazie.

Agreed. If I were playing primarily $25-$50 blackjack, I would probably do it at Aria.

Seems like the best of a lot of shitty options on the strip anyway. My guess is I'll transition into a downtown guy now because of the video poker odds on the strip bar tops. Or pay rack and gamble way way less. Or not go to Vegas at all. Vegas for me was always about the free trip. Not free anymore, no reason for me to go.

Normally right after a big winning trip I would be jonesing to take up some offer and give the wins back. Right now even the flights are cheap. But between the bad comps and bad odds, even though I had a huge winning month in December (+$8,500, almost 3X base bankroll, combining Vegas and some home casino play), I'm not at all feeling like going.

Except when I read natedogs stuff, lol. :wink2:

there is a lot of variability in offers that don't seem related to level of play.

I believe the unseen factors being taken into account are related to the overall profitability of the player. Casinos hate winners.

Also I think length of history makes a difference.

I would guess its almost like a credit score.

Showing a propensity to book wins, and having a long history of loyal play definitely hurt your offers.

They want to pull the hook right after they've baited you, and they do not want fish who are able to get off that hook.

I don't have any new offers posted online yet -- the last was for December at Mirage. An October offer is still showing up on there! We aren't high rollers but our play isn't horrible either. I don't think that they would just suddenly stop sending offers to loyal customers like us who have stayed and played exclusively at MGM properties at least twice a year for the last 12 years! Maybe it's too early for spring offers...maybe M Life.com just sucks....I guess I'll just wait since I've already booked the airfare...
