I'm arriving on a Sunday at 10pm and heading to Aria. Any tips as to which one I should pick and in your experience where is Aria in the chain of dropoffs?

And no matter what I refuse to take a taxi. Last trip was a constant struggle to not get ripped off.

    Thanks!

The best one is the one that's leaving the soonest...otherwise they are all just as equally terrible as each other. I will definitely take a cab. I'm not scared of confrontation and will tell them straight up to go f*ck themselves if they try to long haul me. As well, it typically ends in a free cab ride and cabbie with butthurt.

Tell the cabbie specifically, NO TUNNEL! Aria is close and it should be a very reasonable fare.

If you go with a shuttle:
When its that late on a Sunday night I would go with whichever shuttle looks like it is going to depart first - some of these shuttles will wait until they are almost full before leaving, even if that means sitting at the airport for 30+ minutes.

Otherwise it doesn't really matter: the shuttles all feel the same on the inside, they all have good and bad drivers, they cost about the same and they follow the same routes.

As far as dropoff order goes: it really depends on where the other passengers in the shuttle are going, but I would normally expect Aria to be one of the middle to last places... like I would expect the route to go something like:
    MGM Grand
    NYNY
    Monte Carlo
    Excalibur
    Luxor
    Mandalay Bay
    Tropicana
    Aria

Again, it does depend on where the other passengers are going, like if nobody is going to Luxor or Mandalay Bay then the shuttle isn't going to go to those properties and might even change its route to whatever is more efficient.

ugh shuttle no thanks. I am super cheap but even if I got long hauled it would be better than a shuttle. They are just a PITA. I've taken a shuttle twice and both times it was extremely long and the AC was out the second time.

I am probably 100 deep in cab rides without a problem. I am not scared of having a prob, if you get long hauled just snap a pic of the cab number and tell him you are reporting him to the commission, if he gives a problem usually a bell hop or someone at the hotel will just escort you in and it will end there.

I took the shuttle once and stayed at PH, got there in 15 mins, was the second stop. Next time stayed at Caesars and was on shuttle almost and hour and a half. That was my last shuttle trip. Not worth losing precious vegas time.

We use the limo now, for a group of 4 its $20 a piece, well worth it and that includes tip!!

I am considering shuttle for next trip as I'm going solo. I hate the cabbie confrontations-and am in no hurry, so thought I might give the shuttle a try. Where would Paris be on the order list?

Hmmm... may have to reconsider. Sounds like this could easily be an hour-plus endeavor.

What happened? I've take probably 25+ cab rides and not once have had a single problem. And if you do have a problem just call the cabbie out on it and then enjoy the free ride you just got.

Took a cab to Aria and the guy spend a good minute telling me just take the freeway, because there's a lot of traffic. Stuck to my guns and there was none. From NYNY he took the back way to the Bellagio, which was a $12 fare. Didn't argue, because it was 3am.

Two rides and both times they were scum.

You want to sit on a shuttle for who knows how long to save a few bucks?

You see it as saving a few bucks, I see it as not getting ripped off.

But to some taking the shuttle and wasting some precious vacation time because you are worried about something that might or might not happen is ripping yourself off... maybe not of money, but of time and convenience.

But then I do think part of this is: it really depends on how your experiences with the shuttles have gone. You can have horrible trips on the shuttles or in the cab and usually once you've had one in the shuttles you never want to go back to them because if you have a bad experience in a cab it usually means you'll end up paying an extra $5 for your cab ride, maybe $10 if you get caught in some bad traffic... but a bad experience in a shuttle usually means you lost 45-90 minutes of your vacation time and personally I'd easily pay an extra $10 to not lose an hour of my vacation time in Vegas.

Really? You just admitted to getting ripped off while knowing you were!!! If people don't confront these greasy cabbies they are going to continue to do it and get away with it.

Stand up for what you know is wrong, don't let people take advantage of you.

Is $12 a larger than normal fare for that ride?

yes, as I've taken it before and it has been $6-9 dollars. Keep in mind I only go now weekdays to Vegas, which is less traffic overall than the weekend.

Anyway, I think I'll go with Presidential Limos and use the time to pick up somethings for the room. I've used them before and was happy. I don't think I have the patience to sit on the shuttle for an hour or more at least not that late.
