First, I know that there's often no rhyme or reason with MLife. Based on what I've read on these boards, two players with similar levels of play can often receive vastly different offers.

That being said, I'm curious as to what type of offers Pearl MLife members have gotten.

The best offer I've gotten so far from MLife was The Mirage for $29/night. This was when I was at Sapphire level. I booked three nights from it and just barely made Pearl during that trip (mostly through Blackjack Switch and lots of video poker). I'm just curious as to what types of offers I could expect (and this being MLife, I'm certainly NOT expecting much!).

I don't think the tier levels are what determine your offers. It's your play that does. Your play counts towards your level but it's the amount bet and for how long that gives you the offers.

    Yes I know.

I could rephrase the question as, "For players who's play has gotten them to Pearl but not higher than that, what type of offers do you receive?"

Well I fall into that category..highest I've ever gotten is Pearl. I get 3 nights $100 fp at the Monte Carlo (where I usually play). I get a similar deal at the Aria, but why I have no idea. Luxor will kick me 30% off rates. That's all I see.

My buddy is pearl and he sees one free night at the Monte Carlo and two free nights at the Luxor. So my offers are much better. It really is all over the place.

You can easily have two people at Pearl, with exactly the same number of of tier points. But, their offers can be significantly different. It is based on the average play per trip. Not total points. Not tier level.

Yes I know. I'm starting to sound like a broken record here.

I think I made it pretty clear that I'm just curious as to what type of offers people who have made Pearl are getting. I know that the offers vary based on the type of play, etc.

I'm just looking for examples as to what some people who's play got them to Pearl but not higher are getting offered.

Drambler's post is exactly what I was looking for.

Just as a point of reference, I am gold, just a few thousand tier points south of platinum. I've received nothing at all, besides 2 week day nights at the Aria, and 2 weekend nights at the MGM. No F/B or freeplay.

I really think it is very dependent on where/what you play and for how long.

What everyone is trying to say is Pearl is way too broad to reflect offers based on. I can be Pearl from one trip, meaning I played through enough money to get to that level. You could be Pearl based on 5 trips, earning just 5,000 tier credits each trip so obviously you gamble less per trip but we are the same card level. My offers will be much much better than yours even though we hold the same card.

Offer are based on your ADT not your card color.

My buddy ( new to Las Vegas ) earned pearl in three days on his Trip last week. He hasn't gotten any offers yet, but the host on duty tried to comp him his room and some food but they were already covered by me. I would assume his offers will be the standard 3 nights and some food credit

    LOL I know.

What I'm saying is I'm just curious to see the various types of offers Pearl members are getting. Some get nothing because they could have just reached Pearl by spending $1000 at the various MGM hotels and restaurants, others get a few nights and some FP because they actually gambled a decent amount. It's just interesting to me to see what the range of offers is for someone who isn't a high enough roller to make Gold or Platinum.

I went from Pearl after 1 trip last year to Gold 2 trips after that so on my 3rd try and my offers barely moved an inch. I'm sitting at Platinum now and my offers seem to be much better, but I just started going to vegas 4-5 times a year VS once or twice so that might be why.

When I was Pearl I got offers for any 3 nights (everywhere except bellagio) $150 FP and sometimes $50-100 fb. I am gold now and my offers are only at mirage for 1 night sun-thurs, Monte Carlo 3 nights & $75 fp, Aria 2 nights sun-thurs & $50fp.

The more I play the less I am offered. Good luck figuring out what to expect.

To be clear: Pearl is basically nothing. Reaching Pearl over the course of a year represents almost no play. Reaching Pearl in a single trip MIGHT be enough to generate offers, depending on how many days the trip consisted of.

Gold or Platinum aren't high rollers. I have Platinum, I got there in about 3 trips, and I am not a High Roller. I play at a level where I get roughly RFL, or maybe a little less, depending on how I'm rated. My offers are your standard three night / some food comp / maybe show tickets / maybe freeplay. I mainly play table games, so FP is not a big motivator anyway.

I provide that perspective simply to make the point - Pearl (50,000) in one trip is less than Platinum (200,000) in less than three trips. So the upper most ceiling for a Pearl player, assuming they obtained that status in a single trip, is some variation of a basic minimal room comp with some limited add-ons.

A better way for you to think about this is, instead of thinking of tier level, which is essentially meaningless with respect to offers, think about it in terms of average bet / time / coin-in. An offer is a marketing expense the casino is spending to get you to stay and play. They're betting that you lose enough while you're there to more than cover the marketing expense, and hopefully more than that.

The amount of the offer has to consider your daily value, not your annual value. A penny slot grandma who lives near the casino can get to Noir in a year if she plays enough. A $400/hand BJ/Bacc player might only come once a year, and only get to Gold. The first player is worth more to the casino over the course of a year, because she is guaranteeing the casino a steady, slow, source of revenue, and by the end of the year, it's a lot. The second player is worth more to the casino on any given day that he plays.

Penny slot grandma gets Noir, but no offers. Baccarat king gets RFB offers, but only Gold.

I believe that offers generally will start off strong, and slowly decline over time. Kind of a way to get you hooked, then slowly increase their return on you over time. At least that's how I'm feeling it's gone with me.

As an example, here is some of my history with the Mirage...

    2010 - 1 trip:
    - 5 nights in a Tower Suite - booked a deal on Mirage's website at $99/nt. Sapphire with very limited history and no offers. Not a ton of play.

    2011: 2 trips:
    - 2 nights in a Standard Room - booked an offer via Mlife. Sapphire with limited history and both nights comped, no resort fee + $100 FP. Played more than previous visit.

    - 4 nights in a Standard Room - booked an offer via Mlife. Made Pearl previous trip, 2 nights comped, 2 nights at $49 each, no resort fee but no FP. Played a little more than previous visit.

    2012: 2 trips
    - 3 nights in a Standard Room - booked an offer via Mlife. Pearl with 1 night comped, 2 nights at $49 each, with resort fee and no FP. Played quite a lot more than previous visit.

    - 3 nights in a Standard Room - booked an offer via Mlife. Pearl, not comped, $29 per night, with resort fee and no FP. Played more than ever, by far.

My play has steadily and substantially increased on each of these visits, but my offers are decreasing. We're talking quarter VP and poker only on the first trip, steadily up to heavy play on dollar vp, some craps and limited poker on the latest trip.

I've never been offered RFB, my FP offers there have disappeared and now it seems even a comp night is no longer in the mix. I love the Mirage and its location, but may have to switch it up in the future. Although I just returned from the latest 3 nighter (trip report coming) and as noted, played heavier than I ever have. We'll see!

Bluerider I'm thinking the trend you are seeing isn't so much based on how you're playing but more that MGM is really cutting back on the comps overall. I think as the economy improves they will continue to just get worse. It's definitely been noted they've started dialing them back.

I played maybe $100 total there 3 years ago and still get offers. My lastest is 3 free nights at any MLife casino and $100 free slot play with $50 in food and 2 tickets to a show..Oh and buy one get one free ticket to the Beatles LOVE show.

I notice that you made a typo in your post. Hope that you don't mind following corrections regarding MLife's levels and tier credit requirements.

    Pearl: 25,000 tier credits
    Gold: 75,000 tier credits
    Platinum: 200,000 tier credits

Agree. Moreover, the casino rates the individual player by his/her ADT (average daily theo), coin-ins (for machine player) and average bet (for table player), and actual loss, etc.

MLife's 10/1/2012 program change has certainly reduced the primary comp (which the casino host has access/control over that portion of the comp, and the host may or may not give to the player), express comp, point play, etc. I personally believe that the marketing offer is gradually going downhill as well (as mentioned in Bluerider's post).

I am a Platinum and I have been playing decent amounts at MLife's casinos up till October 2012. I'm disappointed with that change and the host's attitude of handling the program change. In my November and December 2012 trips (shortly after the October change), I I cut down my plays at MLife and took my plays to the off-strip casinos which have plenty of full-pay video poker games. Glad that I did it, as I came home as winners over those two trips.

I love to stay at Aria and Bellagio. However, their gaming conditions (decreased VP paytables and tighter machines) along with their unfair comps forced me to gamble somewhere else.

Do I really want to maintain my Platinum level (to maintain the 200,000 tier credits till 9/30/2013)? I have a serious doubt. Nobody wants to lose money for the sake of pumping up tier credits and maintaining that "meaningless" level (so what for being a Platinum)? Right?

There are numerous posts in the Comp Section that several long-term MLife Players have voiced his/her concerns and feedback. MLife may lose some loyal and long-term solid gamblers.

I really don't understand my comps at all lol. I'm currently a pearl and never played or been enough to get to gold. I was about 15k away last year from that.

In the last year I've stay on a 3 night Bellagio Comp a 3 Night Mirage Comp and am currently booked on a 2 night comp at Mirage for March Madness.

My current mlife fall offer gets me Aria/Bellagio @ 80 a night with $60 free play
    1 Night free Sun-Thurs at MGM/MB w 60 FP
    2 nights Sun-Thurs Mirage/MC/NY/Luxor

I have mail offers for 3 free nights stay with $100 FP from Bellagio/Aria/NYNY currently.

I bring between 1500-2500 each trip and typically only play tables or video roulette.

I really don't know why i'm getting only offers from Aria/Bellagio as those are out of my league. I'd love to be getting more offers from MC/Luxor etc but I just get lower rate offers from them.

Just to add another twist to Mlife's already confusing system...I started playing at the Beau Rivage in Biloxi about 3 years ago. Their system is much stricter, earning 2 tier credits per point vs 10 tier credits in Vegas. I know it is because it is considered more of a local rather than destination property. Of course I started at sapphire and after one trip I was offered 2 nights free and $75 in free play only at the Beau. After a 3 or 4 trips I made it to pearl, which was quite an accomplishment. My offers went up to 3 nights and $100 in freeplay. I think it was the 2nd year my monthly Beau letter would add a quarterly Vegas offer. It was usually 3 nights at a mid hotel and 2 at Bellagio and 4 at Excal or Luxor, two free tickets to LOVE and $150FP. Just this past October I finally made the trip to Vegas. I stayed at Mirage for 4 nights and paid for an upgrade in a penthouse @ $80/night. They didn't charge the resort fee for any nights. I ended up earning gold on that one trip. I still get the same offers at the Beau and the other Vegas hotels quarterly but now I get monthly offers from Mirage. I also received a quarterly from the Mirage in a suite with FB, FP and limo transport. I'm going back to the Beau in a few days and am interested to see if I will see any gold benefits such as free room upgrades.

I cannot figure out their reasoning. However, I think I get decent offers not only for the amount of money but the time I spend. Most are solo trips and I gamble from about 7AM to 9PM with a few hours off for meals and breaks. I only do $10 BJ or craps tables and dollar slots - sometimes pennies if I'm losing too fast, so I'm not a high roller, I think they see my time and consistency.
