Man, my first year in Little League they had me at third base. Not a lot of pulled rockets at that age, but still more than enough to convince me I was better served elsewhere. I moved to behind the plate and loved being in on the action on every pitch, in some capacity, and played some first, which was fun. Finally settled in center field, after I lost the second round of baby fat, for the remainder of my ultimately short-lived baseball career.

    You?

Right field and Pitcher... takes alot of nerve to be that close to the plate I found. Alot of scary close calls that make me think back and be glad I was young enough to react in a split second and not get killed.

I was a good outfielder, so I enjoyed playing center field. Probably made the greatest catch in little league history while playing there. I also played first base which I enjoyed as well. My coach thought I would be a good pitcher and started me one game. I gave up a hit to the first batter and walked the next five. My pitching career ended abruptly, six batters after it started :confused2:

Would start at pitcher in LL,but my arm would tire out and I'd walk a few guys..get moved to left field where I was decent at fly balls from almost daily catch with my dad.Funny though when I was on the mound,I was'nt nervous at all.but batting my legs would be shaking..did good enough eyeing walks and slapping singles.. I enjoy watching the LLWS on espn, can't belive how good these kids are.

    lol

One year our star pitcher was our backup catcher. One time he's chucking and coach tells us to swap gear; my first time on the mound for reals. I walked four straight. We swapped gear again.

I was a pitcher and when I wasn't on the mound I played center field because I could catch just about any fly ball and I threw many out from center field to home plate....now I have had surgery on that shoulder and can't threw a ball 50 feet.

My youngest son had 2 colleges that wanted him to pitch.....but instead played college football as a middle linebacker.
