Always tragic. Always so much more tragic with little ones involved.

I'd like to ask that we all keep our opinions as to cause/effect to ourselves and simply reflect on the tragedy and the lives so horrifically taken and shattered.

    Thanks.

My heart is breaking for those families. Even though my children are grown, I texted them and told them both that I loved them very much.

This is not fair. Nobody should be the vicitim of such a horrific event or have to even witness it. These helpless children didn't even have a chance.. their lives were taken before they had a chance to live it. It just makes me sick.

My heart goes out to these kids and their families.

I've been feeling sad all day because of this. Too bad I'm at work, I can't really cry. I'll wait until I get home and then have a good cry. They are all in my thoughts and sending love to everyone.

I keep thinking that the parents of the victims are hoping this is a nightmare and when they wake up in the morning it won't have happened.

I have been crying all day... and I have been hugging and kissing my baby girl all day. I'm so thankful she knows how loved she is and how much of a joy she is in my life.

There is evil in this world, all we can do is try to show our loved ones how much they mean to us and try to be the best we can be in a world of chaos.

God bless the victims. I'm now in mourning.

Never say his name. Don't give him that much.

They will all be in all my prayers.

    I see a pattern here

Mrs. and I were reflecting on this last night and she pointed out that these horrible events dont happen in the inner cities, rather mostly in affluent suburbs.
Most of these kids are raised in a success driven enviornment and are expected to excell in life like their parents and their peers .When one doesnt fit the mold he is probably made to feel inferior in many ways and this may cause him to lash out at the society that he doesnt fit into.

It's such a tragedy. Please remember this thread isn't for a discussion about gun control or the right to own guns.

not mentioning the criminal is a great idea.

i wish the so called news media, of both slants, would show the same restraint shown here, because i think the endless filling of airtime does cause a lot of harm in many ways. it seems that there are so called experts, across the sprectrum of political thought, that are just sitting there waiting to take advantage of any kind of event to get themselves on tv, and the networks are only too happy to get them on there. the tragedy then moves so fast to the criminal, the conjecture of why, and people capitalizing on a tragedy to try to make political points.

i will pray for the victims, parents, and the responders who had and will have to deal with all this and the aftermath.

sonya, if i fell off the tightrope with the second paragraph and started this thread down a bad road...zap it fast. thanks.
