Does any casino (likely only a high limit room, i assume) comp absinthe? Does anyone have any experience with this?

If anyone has any experience with this, did they prepare it for you -- or bring you the spoon, sugar, water and absinthe and make it a DIY project right at the table.

I have a feeling that they do NOT do this, but was curious and figured this board would be the best place to ask!

No. The ban was lifted effectively about ten years ago. There are brands that are real absinthe in every sense of the historical definitions... It just isn't as popular here so there isn't much selection at most places... Even those that serve it well sometimes...

It you have never tried absinthe be careful. I try alot of differ liquors and drinks but after only a couple shots of this stuff I can see why it has been banned. While drinking is not the problem the after effects can remain for days even if not having consumed very much. This stuff quickly made it to my "Do NOT drink under any circumstanses" list.

Sage at Aria has a nice selection of Absinthe and the preparation and presentation is nice. I'm sure if you gamble big enough in the Aria high limit room they will arrange something for you.

I haven't seen it, but I wouldn't hesitate to ask. Even at the nickel slots, I'd still ask. :) The worst thing they can do is say "no".

The only places that serve it in their hotel/rests are Fluer at MB and Sage at Aria, at least to my knowledge. They don't serve either in the casinos but obviously you can charge it to your room and get it comped.

Thanks to you two! Aria and MB... I've played Roulette in the Aria HL room before, and I was by myself out of the whole pit. So I imagine they'd come up with SOMETHING.

Agreed... Maybe that can be my opening line in every situation, and see how many different a)silly looks b)angry stares c)"what is that's" or d)"no"'s I get over the course of the trip!

Asking at ElCo, Hacienda, Gold Coast, Arizona Charlies, or Opera House could yield interesting results.

This reminds me of one time at like "Silver Nugget" I asked if they allow surrender and the dealer asked me "What's That?" I think she thought I was sticking her up. lol.
