Planning a trip and can get a Bally's North Tower room for free and was wondering how the bed are? Are the comfy? How are the bath rooms in the room?

    Thanks

I've stayed in a north tower room twice with my mom. It's not a dump. If it's free, the price is right. Bally's isn't a bad little hotel, but don't go in expecting five-star accommodation. It's on par with a Hampton Inn or a Courtyard, in my opinion.

The beds are hit and miss. My mom had a bed that was pretty comfy, and in the same room, mine was not. The second trip the beds were just "okay" and you could tell the mattresses were nearing the end of their shelf life.

The bathrooms are very standard. Shower/Tub combo, toilet, single sink with a counter. Think of your standard hotel bathroom.

I was at Bally's two weeks ago and took this video of my North Tower room.

I had no issue with the bed, it was firm and comfortable. Bathroom is nothing spectacular but there's a decent amount of countertop space and it's where you'll find the single-serving coffee maker. That's about the only feature in the room that you may not find at other hotels, otherwise it's a slightly larger-than-average three-star room.

My last trip, the mattress seemed in good condition but a bit too firm. Definitely not a pillow top. The furniture is dated but not abused. The bathroom is a decent size and has plenty of counter space. It's a solid room, the guests tend to be quiet and you should be able to get a break from the hustle and bustle of the strip.

We only had the coffee maker when we stayed on the diamond floor, so ymmv if you have this bonus amenity. It was nice to have for sure!

Comfy beds and the bathrooms are nice enough. Nothing really spectacular - tub/shower combo I believe.

I was at that "dump" IP for $20 a night 2 weeks ago and the bed was nice and comfy. I was at that "dump" in Bally's south tower "dump" a year and a half ago and the bed was nice and comfy. God forbid you stay in the north tower rooms..........bed bugs and bad backs galore:rolleyes2:

    Thanks Andy....Nice Video...

The room actually looked a little nicer than I expected. I am not really crazy about the casino, but I think the property is worth a try.

Also thanks for the video Andy. Doesn't look to bad. What is the Diamond Floor, and what is so special about it? I take it is for the Diamond TR card holders?

I'm nowhere near diamond level with Total Rewards (1000 tier credits) and they never mentioned that I was upgraded at the front desk. The only reason I knew it was the diamond floor was because of a sign posted near the elevator.

We were at Bally's North Tower, not Diamond, the end of September. The room was nice and clean, the beds and pillows were very comfortable, and we did have a coffeemaker in our room. The coffee brand was very good. The rooms do have internet access but for $15/day. We opted not to and used our phones. Our maid was outstanding.

I just got back from 3 nights in the Bally North Tower. Our view was crap (overlooking nothing but gross industrial tops of a building and nothing much else, and staring straight out to the parking garage and other guest windows).

    But the room was fine.

Bathroom less than I am used to, but usable (it has the shower/tub combo with the little draw curtain). And the tub is very shallow (I wouldn't even attempt to take a bath in it).

We got a two queen room and the beds were comfy and clean (nothing was dirty or broken or bad).

It certainly was not the level of Palazzo or Cosmo that my wife has become a bit accustomed to, but the rooms were free, the casino is fun, the staff are helpful and friendly, and the location is excellent. Right on the strip. Right close to EVERYTHING.

    I like Bally's.

You should have stayed in the south tower. I have always stayed in the south if i stay at Bally's. I never paid for a view just told them i wanted a high floor and sure enough the view was right on every time.

we stay at Bally's every time we go to vegas. I love the low limits, the location, but most the service of the employees. Last August was the first time we tried the North tower (grand suite) and it was smaller than the South Tower grand suite and the view was terrible unless you like to look at the liquor store on Audrie st. We enjoy the south tower much much better for the view and the size and the location of the elevators near the front entrance and near the Keno lounge. While a little older, there are far more advantages to the South tower.

Tell the cabbie "Bally's via Swenson and Paradise please" and you should be good.

    North or South Tower

Hi, I will be staying at Bally's on Christmas weekend on a comp with two queen bed on south tower. Never stayed at Bally's before. Just wonder which tower is better, north or south? Thanks

Most people will tell you Bally's North Tower is the best, but i always stay at the South Tower. Prefer the location of the elevators from the reservation desk, the sandwich shop, the coffee bar, the Bally's/Paris walkway is close by, and you'll get a better view of the Strip. Just ask for a room on a higher floor like i do and Voila!!
