I am planning a trip to Harrah's- New Orleans and have a question about the parking.

I will be there for 2 nights. My understanding is that parking is around $30 night. I also found this on the website:
Harrah’s offers unlimited complimentary parking to our guests after completing thirty minutes of tracked play with your Total Rewards card. Our parking garages are located at 501 and 601 Convention Center Boulevard. The casino can be easily accessed via a tunnel from the 501 Convention Center Boulevard garage. Upon leaving the casino please remember to have your parking ticket validated at the Parking Validation/Satellite Total Rewards booth at the top of the escalator or at the Total Rewards desk. If your stay is longer than twenty-four hours, additional validation will be required.

Do I need to move my car in and out of the garage each 24 hour period or can I just get multiple validation slips and present them when I leave?

For a number of years, I would just get one validation ticket on the night before check-out and it worked fine. Sometime this year, things changed to where you need a parking ticket for each 24 hours. So that is what I do now. The only tricky part is remembering to swipe your card in the kiosk each night. There is no need to move your car as long as you have a validation ticket for each night that you parked. The validation tickets are a breeze to do as it is completely automated.

Wow, that sucks! If your staying at Harrah's they really do that? You would think they would be happy that you are spending your money there and not driving somewhere else!

    Thanks for the info!

They have to because there are people who are using the garage who aren't casino customers. It's a way to discourage non casino customers and to encourage people who would otherwise not visit the casino to come in and gamble for awhile. I wonder if the daily validation has something to do with being so close to the cruiseport?

Parking is free for Diamond, if that helps you.
