Apartments

Curious as to how much a one bedroom apartment in a nice complex and good, safe area costs. I do not drive so I need to be close to decent public transportation. Thanks in advance for any help. The closer to the strip the better.

 

I used to live in Renaissance Villas and it was $749 a month. It was on W Tropicana, I think it was 4500 W Tropicana. Close to the Orleans.

 

I used to live at Renaissance Villas too!!!! payed around the same for a one bedroom. It's not the best area but not bad.
Decent pool. Exercise room is crap, no free weights. Free computers to use. DVD library you can borrow from.
Location is great. Close to the strip, many restaurants nearby, couple markets and banks around the corner.

For the life of me I will never understand why people want to live near the strip.
1. there is nothing new there in residential, other than the high-rises
2. there isn't any grocery stores, or clinics on the strip
3. the noise from traffic and emergency vehicles constantly running.
4. high crime rate in the immediate areas off the strip.

I understand that some folks who move here do so for the gaming. Thats fine, but, get away from the strip and the gaming is much better.
We have lived here for 9 years and I can count on 10 fingers the amount of visits we made to the strip since we moved here. Jim was driving limo and was there everyday,
I would only go there to pick up clients which I refuse to do now, or when I have a visitor.
I try to make it to Bellagio during Christmas only to see the atrium then we leave.

There is soo sooo sossoo much more to Vegas than the strip. Don't confine your thinking to that area, in the long run you will regret it.

 

You can find one bedroom apartments in very decent parts of Las Vegas for $650 per month. Rennaisance Villas tends to be on the really "high" side. For around $600 per month, you can still even find a one bedroom in a slightly "lesser" area.

 

My brother is renting a one bedroom for $519 behind the Palms. Second floor about 760 sq ft, large balcony, pools, weightroom, tennis and bbq areas. He relies on public transit. The location is very convenient.

 

How is public transportation away from the strip where the nice apartments for $650/month go for? I do not drive so I really depend on being able to hop on a bus or be within safe walking distance to the grocery store, Target etc. am I wrong in assuming the busses run 24/7 in LV? Where I live now they stop running at about 5:00 PM. Thanks.......

 

I do not believe that the residential bus routes run 24/7. I believe some of them run 5am to midnight.

Some residential routes do not have 24 hour service. However, main routes like Tropicana and Flamingo run 24/7. Check rtcsnv.com for schedules.
