I have all 4 nights comped at either property. I currently have the PHo Hollywood Hip booked but have considered changing reservation to Caesar's but wanted some input from the board.

I am 25 and going with some of my boys for the weekend to gamble and party. I pick PHo because it is a little more up to date than some CET properties and definitely has the younger vibe. I have also heard of relatively good success with the $20 trick for upgrades.

I know Caesar's is probably nicer than PHo but I can only get a Forum or Roman tower comped. It also concerns me that Caesar's is such a big, sprawling property. That makes it a little less accessible to the strip and what not. I am not familiar with the crowd at Caesar's either if someone could enlighten me there.

Since I have the choice of Forum, Roman or Hollywood Hip all comped, I am here for everyone's input to weigh my decision.

I would def go with PHo, your young so the vibe will be at PHo. Caesars is just too big although a mixed crowd PHo will be more up your alley.

I think you answered your own question. I have stayed at both, I prefer PH, I am 38 and felt too young for Caesars. I thought it was stuffy and got tired of walking 2 miles to get from room to strip. CP is very nice, I stayed in the Augustus tower, by far the nicest LV room I have ever had. However rooms dont impress me, I couldnt only remember getting back to it 1 out the 3 nights anyways. The night I do remember it felt like it took forever!

I think you are right. I am leaning towards PHo for that reason. The room in all honesty is not that important to me because I don't spend enough time in there, maybe a couple hours at a time. But at the same time do want a nice place when I am in the room. I have also heard of pretty good success at PHo when it comes to complimentary upgrades especially since I will be in town a few days after New Years and it should be a relatively slow time. Not to mention long walks from the room and strip don't sound that appealing.

PHo for sure. Better vibe, much less walking and a more friendly staff. I like Caesars, don't get me wrong, but the staff there is not the friendliest on the strip, IMHO.

PH is right across from Cosmo which is where you will probably spend most of your time if you are smart lol. Definitely go with PH

I agree with everyone else...sort of

We actually did a split in March: Forum 2 nts, Planet Hollywood 3 nts. PH is definitely nicer.
That being said...when we checked in at CP they offered us Palace Tower for $30/nt. We have stayed in Palace Tower & it is VERY VERY nice--WELL worth $30/nt. (I didn't take it as I wanted to see Forum Tower for myself--totally wish I had taken it!! Forum is OK, but nothing special)
PH probably fits your demographic better & I am guessing you won't be in the room much!

I'm in the same age group as you and have stayed at both PH and CP. If I were you, I would stay at PH, especially if I was going with a group to party. CP is an older crowd, it's a long, tiring walk to just about anything. PH has a fun party atmosphere, you're in the center of the strip so you can go anywhere you like, and I was really impressed with PH's amenities and the hotel rooms.

I'm not in your age group, but I have stayed at both places more than once. The Caesars rooms, pool and dining options are nicer, but the overall atmosphere and clientele definitely skew much older than at PH.

One totally subjective observation that you might want to consider: It seems to me that PH is usually at least 4-1 male to female. But I always see long lines of attractive young women waiting to get into Pure at Caesars on the weekends. (You'll see similar lines outside the clubs at Cosmo, Bellagio, Mirage, Mandalay Bay, etc.) So, you and your pals may want to factor in the lengths of those walks (with or without a female acquaintance) to your home base when making your decision. :ssst:

    Yes.

    Easy choice.

    CP is over rated.

I've stayed at PH on my only 2 trips to Vegas which were in the last year. I'm going for NYE and will be staying partially at Caesars for my trip. So I'm sure it will be a different atmosphere just wanted a change. I did quite enjoy PH though that is why I came back! Excellent location, good food choices, friendly people, just couldn't find any blackjack that was 3:2 or win any $$$$ there.

No 3:2?!?! Say it isn't so!!

Is this true? No 3:2 Blackjack or limited tables? If so that's a HUGE downside of me as a play almost exclusively Blackjack and Pai Gow... Can anybody speak to the number of 3:2 tables at PH?

They're there, but you do have to search for them sometimes. You'll never find one in any of their Pleasure Pits, those are all 6:5. You'll likely have to settle for a modestly dressed middle-aged Asain dealer if you want 3:2 at PH. lol

That for me is PH's biggest flaw. I LOVE the atmosphere in their casino, but their table games rules suck for the most part.

I could careless if I'm in the pleasure pit or not, I have the club at night for the girls. During the day it's about the gambling and about the best rules and best chance for profit so I'll gladly take a modestly dress, middle-aged Asian dealer. Not to mention they probably aren't as conceded and stuffy as some bitty in lingerie lol.

You'd be surprised! The Pleasure Pit dealers are some of the friendliest on the strip! (I only play 3 Card Poker in the Pleasure Pits. And only after I've made a profit on BJ so I don't feel like I'm wasting my own money on a carnival game).

I played $15/hand BJ at a normal 3:2 table with a normal Asian dealer and she wasn't friendly at all.

And now that I think about it, on our first trip to Vegas a couple years ago my buddy and I encountered one of the douchiest dealers we've met in Vegas at PH. He was a total tool to us. I totally forgot about that til just now.

Back to the topic, I don't think you'll have any problems finding a 3:2 table during the day.

That's good to hear that I should be able to find a table. I don't care really about the dealer or their attitude, I only care about winning lol.

That's usually an issue for me at PH. For some reason I always do awful at BJ there and it always leaves a poor taste in my mouth. I prefer BJ at MGM properties cause I tend to do better it seems.

But good luck and have fun!
